Flight due to leave at 10:05, delayed until 16:00.  After realising that there was a flight at 12:15, we went and had a bitch.  Now on the standby for the 12:15, forgot to ask what happens to our luggage

If Sam, Olly or Alex read this, we'll let you know what time we are arriving when we know.....

We have been gloriously lucky with flights for the last 22 years, so I guess it really is time for us to take some shit….

On a positive note, I have had a lovely Thai breakfast in the Cathay Pacific lounge and a full English breakfast in the BA lounge.  Next stop, the American Airlines lounge…....

Went to the AA lounge to find out that the 12:15 which had been delayed until 14:15 has now been cancelled.  AA lounge was heaving with pissed-off travellers, so we did not hang around.  Went to the AA desk in Terminal 3 and there was a queue of another 200 pissed-off travellers, we decided to go out through security and recheck in for the 16:00 flight and re-enter the airport.  Luckily, we met a brilliant security guard who told us of a little-known AA desk in another part of T3, he actually took us there and there was zero queue - at that point, we high-fived anything with a pulse.  Rechecked on the 16:00 and in the Qantas lounge…...

Qantas does not really start working until 17:30 (most flights from here to Oz are overnight), subsequently, the food available is rubbish…...

So in 20 or so, we will go back to Cathay Pacific and have a proper meal

Last time I flew Quantas it was like a flashback. I didn’t feel like livestock and I had a dinner—with dessert and a beer—from Perth to Sydney. A better flashback than seeing ashtrays on seat arms for sure.

Had the best service, food and drinks on a flight to Singapore with Emirates . outstanding !
And only aroung 100 people on the A380 , had a full row of seats for myself. brilliant trip
