Katz Deli for an early lunch and after a full day of showing our collection and meeting some lovely lovely people  we hit Ivan Ramen for some well-needed sustenance before winding down at PDT on St Marks Place, my favourite speakeasy located through a hidden wall in a phone booth inside a hot dog shop.

New York has gone crazy for food prices, yeah. A side of fries in multiple restaurants we've been to this trip come in at $12 + taxes

Ironically,all the years I’ve lived in NYC,I’ve never been to Katz’s. The,now defunct,Carnegie Deli was always my favorite,and Katz’s always seemed too touristy.

I’ve been to Carnegie.  I think those sandwiches were about $30 back then in the 90s.  I also think they were bigger.

The sandwiches at The Carnegie were never that expensive back then,and they definitely were bigger. I’m sure they’d be that expensive if they were still around.
