@Oaktavia
what’s your opinion about washing ib bro ?
I think washing is the key for the ib to fade faster. when the ib denim is new it has a very smooth almost
silky surface and it takes quite long for the fading to start. After the first wash the surface got much rougher, like very fine sandpaper. And from that point on the ib starts fading very fast from my experience. -
@twin thanks man…only a matter of time though! Wearing mine today at work.
@Daniel San I agree with the washing. Especially after my 8th machine wash, the white fades really started to pop.
I soapy soaked mine in our tub first few times and hung dry it. The creases stay in place this way. After the creases start to fade more, I start to machine wash. I prefer machine washes because the shirt comes out cleaner than just a gentle tub soak.
Fair warning though, this one will marble and unwanted fade creases can pop up without careful timing. Remove before spin cycle, just like anything else. There was one wash scare that I had- I thought one of the sleeves had a white fade from shoulder to wrist but luckily I pulled it out just in time. Had it sat in the washer for five/ten more minutes it would have been noticeable.

But @Oaktavia , summer is MD is so wonderful
Some days are…I just can't stand hot and humid. If I had it my way, I'd move up north a bit to have shorter summers. But my lady is from NC so she loves the heat!

Try the dry heat. I love it.
I've visited out west and prefer the dry heat any day. Humidity is the worst…which is a bummer because I absolutely love some areas in the south but just couldn't handle living there.

High desert and mountain temperature swings are friggin wild. One reason I love Western shirts out here is that you can so easily open and close the shirts to adapt to that.
Having grown up in the deep South, I don't like excessive humidity: it's like living in a bowl of soup when it gets warm. My wife, also a Southerner, prefers the humidity for her skin, if less so for her hair.
A good compromise for y'all could be the mountains of NC, like Asheville, which is a great place and not terrible climate-wise @Oaktavia
-
@mclaincausey funny you say that about Asheville I was just daydreaming about that place. I would love to live out there…
-
I don’t like humidity in summer too. sweating extremely.
funny is that it doesn’t bothered me when I was in south east Asia and India.
here in Germany it sucks -

loathe the heat . I could not believe how nasty it gets in this part of Pa.
