Alright, Dealan 53 Noirs inbound — was crossing my fingers since the first place I tried to order from didn't actually have them in stock, then found another that printed the label on Thursday but didn't show any actual movement until this morning.

Finally listened to the Dean Delray podcast. Jerome is a fascinating guy, to the surprise of no one.

I'm still figuring out my optical move. I love the Walkers so much and have found some different colorways around, but I would really value clip-on shades, especially for the car. There are a few models of those, but ordering without handling and trying on isn't a move I'm ready to make.

That podcast was really great, right? He's truly fascinating, and I feel like I really learned SO much about glasses.

My big fear is that after learning that info and getting my pair of JMMs, all of the sunglasses I currently own will feel like trash

I'm gonna fight that impulse though, cos I like my Retrosuperfuture Warhols and a pair of Akilas. But I have little doubt that the JMMs will be an incomprehensible upgrade, haha.

@henry_david unfortunately the JMM website doesn't ship to Australia, so I'm hoping that someone like Twelvesixtynine or my local dealer gets them in.

Also take a look at the Clyde, which is a similar shape, but a wrap around design. (The Donovan might be too, but I haven't seen it.)

Those are stunners as well… JMM crushes. Sorry to hear that, @Graeme. Would it be too costly to have someone elsewhere in the world (say, the United States) buy them on your behalf and ship them over?

@henry_david I'm sure that the Fatale will be carried by someone who ships internationally, be it Twelvesixtynine, Framed Ewe, Matches Fashion, or Mr Porter. There are two stockists in Melbourne, so there's a good chance that one of them will get them in.

Worst case, I've got friends in SF and Texas, and I'm sure that I can get one of them to re-ship a pair for me.

Graeme, for a minute, my wallet about cursed you. The Fatale is fantastic !

Lovely as they are, I generally prefer a more rounded shape. But, realistically, anything metal(silver) framed, and remotely close to oval in shape is fair game. Specs aren't anywhere close, though. More eye, less bridge, and much more temple would be required. Probably for the best, anyway. The Amboise are satisfying that look, and I've been hunting for an acetate frame that suits me. I've been eyeing the Plaza, and Harrison(burgundy).
