IH-888-XHSMB - 25oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut - Mad Black

While not the 888 cut I feel like this might be the best spot to show these off!
Mad black is definitely a good bit darker than regular OD. They feel heavier than regular 25oz, they also feel surprisingly smooth. Years ago I had picked up a pair of the 25oz 634OD and ended sending the back… I’ve regretted not keeping them, but couldn’t make them work…These definitely check that box.
Can’t wait to wear them heavy this winter… I’m Really glad I got them. It’s dark out now, but I’ll get a few pictures compare regular OD to Mad black.

Thanks man i love these bad boys ! I have been rotating these and the og xhs. Bought these ones almost a year ago, got the og in Sept. I find the MB to be slow faders. 0 soaks 0 washes so far. Like sabergirl said it's very difficult to capture the true MB color

Has anyone machine washed these yet? Wondering if they will marble

It's crazy how slow these fade compared to the og xhs. Only reason i am considering washing them is that I have some unidentified white spots on the bottom of the one leg. I'm going to try wiping it off with a wet cloth first, could be salt from the great white northern winter.

I haven’t washed mine yet, I’ve only got maybe 30 days in them though.
Yeah, if it’s on the back of your leg then that’s definitely salt. It’s a pain in the butt too. Doesn’t come off without a wash.

Coming up on four months. Two machine washes. Lots of muted blues coming through. Hard to photograph this pair. Its dark and complex. Probably my favorite iteration of the OD.

@GTPowers you’re right. The MB’s are definitely hard to snap a pic of that shows the various hues as the indigo sheds in certain areas. Even while wearing them it kinda seems like nothing is happening until you see them in the right light. Your pair is looking nice and broken in, also looks like you may have some fades coming through in the top block.

Gave them their 4th soak after a weekend of "sick dog" clean up. Lots of blue starting to pop! Shame I'll be shelving these for the XHSBB on April 1st.
