IH-634S-SLB - 16oz Slubby Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

Wore mine 2 hours today.
Such a different feeling on the skin in comparison to the normal denim. Now have my sweatpants on and it
feels like I still have the SLB‘s on, specially on the thighs. Leaves a kind of memory effect on the skin it seems

Started wearing the slubbys this week . A lot of bleeding on my RW 
What are your experiences ? Did someone soak them before wearing ?

A soak won't really help a lot (if at all).  They've been one washed….

Don`t get me wrong , it´s ok that they bleed. I take it as an individual form of indigo art on my boots.

Is it specific for the slubby that they bleed so much? never had it that strong with my 21oz/18oz jeans.

I think it is because there are individual high spots in the warp, so the indigo gets a lot of friction on those….

I find what bleeds and doesn’t to be a mystery. My first pair of 21oz bled massively and for a long time. Subsequent pairs not so much.

I've been wearing mine for a few weeks now and I haven't noticed a lot of indigo bleed. But then again, I sit around all day barely moving.

Made the jump from 555s to 888s for Dad-bod reasons. Loving the 8s for their "chase kids around the house" fit and room in the hips.

I'm looking at this pair for Indigo Inv. Y3, would I find the fit somewhat comparable? Biggest differences I see is mostly in the rise and knee.

Really? I would have said equal or more based on what @AdamC and others with samples have reported but may have misunderstood them.

I'm being super patient with mine. Had them over a month and have only tries them on for 2 mins. They are strictly April to October jeans and I plan to wear them exclusively. I realise that is not going to happen, but I'm allowed to plan it like that, no?

It certainly seems like it should stretch meaningfully. The weave does not seem tight. @Chris are you binge eating again?

absolutly agree with Chris , less strech than the 21oz
I would actually say the less stretch from all my IH Jeans so far . Maybe it just takes longer .
Started to wear my 21oz lefty’s at same time in rotation with the SLB’s , so same days of wear.
The lefty’s stretch a lot more, at least it feels so. But of course this is my personal feeling/ experience without having measured them at the start of wearing.
But in fact it is does not matter for me cause they fit perfectly.

You know me too well, @neph93. There's definitely more of me than there should be, and of course, I've never measured, so my opinion is entirely subjective. That said, I think these stretch, just less than the 21oz, and perhaps more relevantly, they don't feel like they stretch as easily as the 21oz (See? I'm being subjective again) even if measurements prove that they do stretch as far.

Ok guys , I found the original waist measurement from my pair.
I started with 31.6“ , today I measured 32.4“

My 888S-SLB were very tight at the start at 32.5" and they have stretched out to 34.5"

Sorry, missed this. You're right about the rise. But the whole top block is different. The 634 has a trimmer top block overall, while still being comfortable, and the rise makes for another fit entirely.

As for the leg, the 888 tapers the whole way from thigh to hem accounting for the slimmer knee and leg opening, while the 634 stays much straighter from the knee down, losing only about half an inch in width.

They are both comfortable cuts, and while I am a fan of the 888, I now prefer the 634. Not least because of my 48 year old über dad-bod, but also because style wise I prefer the wider leg opening over chunky sneakers and boots
