Not bad at all.  If I had sized down I don’t think it would have hit my arch the right way so if you do end up with extra toe room keep the arch length in mind.  @Nik provided some excellent guidance on how to analyze a Brannock measurement.  He told me to go with the longer of the two lengths between foot length and heel to arch length.  I went 1/2 down from that and got right where I needed to be.  But don’t let that confuse you further.  Same as your RW should be good.

Not an opinion, more like a personal preference.  I always have enough lace length to wrap around the top of my boots one time.

Adding to my previous post above…Wrapping the laces around does create patina on teacore, CXL, and rough out leathers.  Most will never see it, but it still looks cool!

Glad you snagged that awesome pair @Matt they look great and pleased that sizing worked out. That roughout is going to keep getting better and better and looks indestructible on that LTT pattern. How do you feel about the high arch?
For the long laces I got annoyed with the time out takes to wrap and cut them shorter. The boots still work. I think they look cool long and wrapped, but when Chicken needs a walk, it is time to go.

Hell yeah @Matt ! Boots look great and stoked you’re pleased with them. They even arrived a few days early.

I recall reading the leather laces tend to breakdown easily so preserving the length might give your more mileage if they rip. Just a thought.

Dude, those are such good-looking boots. I was surprised they languished away in the sales thread so long. Great score, Matt

Thanks guys.  They are pretty great and I’m really excited they found their way to me.

I still have a pair of Cutters coming though so I’m working on how to trick Katie into believing they are the same pair.  😃

Excellent.  Breaking in nicely. My normal RW moc toe size was perfect.  They came with kilties but I don’t use them.  I’m not wearing them today but I’ll get some pics up soon.  Waiting patently for my C350 Cutters.

Question for anyone with knowledge on the subject. My White's MP's have the leather foot bed just floating in the boot and i have to place them every time i wear them. They fit from the heel about 3/4 of the way of the foot and are cut diagonally for some reason. Obviously the adhesive came loose. I have shoe goo, but my short google search came with "use shoe goo" and "don't use shoe goo" so i'm back at square one.

anyone have a tip on how i should reapply these?

Also, I could have probably sized down 1/2 size (maybe 1/4 size in actuality) and i've considered an insert for comfort over prolonged wear. Has anyone added inserts to their boots and have a recommendation over the endless options online? Red wing makes a leather insole with some padding but at $50 it has some sketch reviews.

I had one of those leather pieces come loose in my pair of semi dress. I just used whatever glue I had handy. I'm sure shoe goo would be fine. A few dabs worked for me, just be sure to press them back in firmly and give them a day or so to dry fully.

For insoles, I like Spenco Rx if you need to fill some volume. Pedag makes some nice options in various materials including some thinner stuff. Just be aware an insole will raise your foot in the shoe. You'll lose some room over your toes and instep, and the heel fit may change somewhat.

Looks like denim truly is the fabric of our salvation.

Thanks @krebsy shoe goo it is. I’ll have to put them on and make sure I actually “need” the room filled and I’ll start entertaining inserts from there.

You can also pull them out @jordanscollected that heel pad just hides the nails in the footbed. Some people pull them out of White's, Viberg, etc. from the beginning. Pedag make good insoles if you want some shape and support, but if not the best thing is to get a thick piece of veg-tan to put in there. Wesco's insoles are basically that. White's might be able to make one for you too, or Bakers boots in Eugene.
