I promised/threatened some outside pics of where I’m staying this week.
I’m in the near section.
Passageway between where I am staying and the old diesel engine house.
Diesel and steam engine houses. If you look closely at the right gable end above the alarm box you will see the remains of a pocket watch. Apparently two farmhands were watching the builders at work. One said to the other it only needed a clock to look like a church. The bricklayer asked if he had a watch and took it away. The watch was never returned

Thanks folks, I am completely smitten. Her eyes are like her mama's, except her mom's have some gold overlaying the blue.
I can barely remember not being a dad and she's not even 2 yet.

Up the cabin today… found this fucker by the lake. I wasn’t touching it, but my youngest had now problem. He wanted to take it home as a pet.
Turns out it is the caterpillar of the Goat Moth. Fairly rare this far north. The English translation of its Norwegian name is “killer of trees”.
