It’s nuts and I have some questions after watching episode 1 [mention]Joberwocky [/mention]

I finished the first episode and it wasn't quite what I was expecting.  Don't think it would be a self-contained episode.  I'm currently watching alone s7 and its been enjoyable @SKT

[mention]Joberwocky [/mention] I’m new to the whole genre so it was all a surprise to me. I like that she went grouse hunting with a moose scapula…don’t see that every day. I think the other “contestants” may have cried “bat” too soon and jumped ship. I think when someone bails, the producers should give a tool to the remaining people to compensate. It kind of felt like she was Leo in “The Revenant”, minus the bear actually attacking.

It is a matter of taste of course, but if you didn't like ep.1 it may not be for you. It is basically a six episode movie. That being said, there is a lot more sex, drugs and white anxiety going forward and it is pretty fucking funny at times.

Paula and I have never really watched a lot of TV, so we missed out on a shit load of good stuff over the years.

Last night we watched the first 3 eps of The Sopranos - better late than never.

Not surprisingly, we loved it….

[mention]Giles [/mention] oh man, I am so jealous! It’s such an incredible show and the keystone, I think, to the golden era of HBO’s programming. Six Feet Under, The Wire, Deadwood…some of the best shows ever made. Throw in Mad Men (from AMC) and it rounds out my top five.

Until Covid hit, we spent so much time travelling that getting into series, remembering to record when we were away etc, was just too much hassle, so we just never got into the habit....

The Wire is so amazing. Last season was kinda weak, but it was nice to see Bubbles's storyline wrap up in a way that felt authentic.

4 episodes into White Lotus. What a strange train wreck so far. I can't tell if I'm going to give it a 1 or a 10 once I'm through.

Unfortunately it was the McNulty fake serial killer bit that failed for me. It was supposed to be the idea that held the final season together and it never worked. I loved the wrap up everyone went through and the idea how each character was replaced by the next gen. Also Snoop’s final season with Michael still gives a lump in my throat.
