It is a matter of taste of course, but if you didn't like ep.1 it may not be for you. It is basically a six episode movie. That being said, there is a lot more sex, drugs and white anxiety going forward and it is pretty fucking funny at times.

Last night we watched the first 3 eps of The Sopranos - better late than never.

[mention]Giles [/mention] oh man, I am so jealous! It’s such an incredible show and the keystone, I think, to the golden era of HBO’s programming. Six Feet Under, The Wire, Deadwood…some of the best shows ever made. Throw in Mad Men (from AMC) and it rounds out my top five.

Until Covid hit, we spent so much time travelling that getting into series, remembering to record when we were away etc, was just too much hassle, so we just never got into the habit....

The Wire is so amazing. Last season was kinda weak, but it was nice to see Bubbles's storyline wrap up in a way that felt authentic.

Unfortunately it was the McNulty fake serial killer bit that failed for me. It was supposed to be the idea that held the final season together and it never worked. I loved the wrap up everyone went through and the idea how each character was replaced by the next gen. Also Snoop’s final season with Michael still gives a lump in my throat.

Currently watching The night manager. Pretty solid.
