@mclaincausey yesss! Man David Lindley is one of my all-time faves. Jackson Browne's stuff with him, particularly Late for the Sky to me… is just, ugh — chef's kiss.
Blake's recent albums are super great — he's done some really interesting stuff (that Pino Paladino record included) — I think Heigh Ho is a good starter.
There are a couple of these with him, really getting totally jealous all over again watching this, haha…

@organisys glad you liked it. Thanks for reminding me about the Floating points / pharoah sanders / lfo album. I remember reading about it but never gave it a listen. I just picked up.
@chrisjohnnick hope you dig Sam Wilkes/gendel.

Never been a fan of Manson. But anyone else really like this album?
This album was excellent!
-
He was! Maybe that's where he got the inspiration for a blues album?
-
Been really burning that EP up since it came out. It’s indeed really fucking great.

The Wu Tang Clan - Mysteries of Chessboxing was the answer to a question on University Challenge. I never thought I'd see the day

This colorized performance of a Thelonious Monk performance is pretty special. Speaking of, his autobiography Beneath the Underdog, is a terrific read.

And RIP Joey Jordison
-
Also RIP Dusty Hill. Shit has me torn up. Thanks for the rock, you bearded badass
EDIT oh whoops, just saw Jett already posted — I'll add to the commiseration!
-
R.I.P. Dusty— you laid down some of the best bass for the best threesome out of Texas!

The young ZZ pics are so nuts! Love em.
-
See ya on the dusty trail, Dusty. Love ZZ Top.
They did a lot for blues and rock and roll for a long time and love Gibbons’ (and Roy Buchanan’s) extensive use of pinched harmonics.

Sticking with the genre/theme @Chap …
Tobacco City just released their first full length yesterday. Solidly in the cosmic country realm and harkens back to Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris duets.
