Today was the nicest day this year, weatherwise…similar to a spring day in higher latitudes: cool, vibrant light, still air. Anyhow it seemed like a fantastic day to bird watch around my house. I usually put out some fruit and water for my feathery neighbors so they are quite used to it.
Tanagers are prevalent these months…Thraupis sayaca are the light blue guys in this pic.
The two olive ones in the front are close relatives, Thraupis palmarum. Less common around houses than the blue guys.
Dwindling food raises tempers. But nothing that a cool dip won’t solve… -

It looks amazing @neph93. I don't see fencing for the animals, do they simply roam free? are there predatorial animals to worry about up there?
