@Filthy:
Being a member of this forum and the Brotherhood has been possibly the most fulfilling experience I've had in my entire life. I'm not kidding. I talked to forum members yesterday for about six hours. I am actually texting a guy from Los Angeles rn.
These are good people in these parts and you're one of them, Mike. I've been having a tough time this week (my dad's in the hospital here in Texas) and coming on here and leaving messages and interacting with you all has been a bright spot.

Sending you a text

That was probably me! I was pleasantly surprised about the front pockets, from the pics!

Yes it was

I haven't been active on the forum regularly in quite some time, but I can definitely echo the sentiment. It really is a great place and my life is quantifiably better because I found it. There are some great folks in these parts…
Put the overalls to work last week and can't understand why I ever waited this long. Not only are they super comfy and not do just fine working in the heat, but THE POCKETS! Having more pockets that I was previously used to has made things so much easier. Will have to get another fit pick of these up in the next day or so.
I'm starting a new job as Head Brewer at a brewery I used to work for this week, so I'll really be putting these things through their paces soon...
-
That's awesome. Break a leg on your new job @emceeQ

There is a pair of Japanese only Iron Heart work pants in (I think) 21 oz denim that look exactly like the bibs but without the bib. I tried to see if they could get me a pair but it's impossible.
I've had overalls before (Carhartt) and I love the idea the fit, the feel, etc… but I don't know that I have the gumption to wear a pair and pull it off.
-
@GardenState – Yup the IH-822. I want those SO bad however, short of going to Japan, it's not gonna happen. I will say that I am not an overalls person but these things are just … very special.
-
I am going to Japan as soon as they remove the travel ban. I will totally pick you up a pair if we get to go to Iron Heart. My girlfriend has been before so it's really about which places I want to see; I think we are going for a week hopefully that is enough to satiate the desire for a while.
-
While not the same cut or material, Grease Point Workwear has some pretty killer double knee pants.
I agree about the notion of not thinking you're gonna be able to pull these bibs.off,.I'm still not 100% across that bridge, but they're so cool I kinda have to just tell myself, "who cares" whenever I grab them -

You tried us?
They are not Japanese only, we sold them, but they sold poorly, which is why we stopped selling them..

-
@Giles Yes I did. Unless the current offering in Japan is different than this? It looks really similar.
-
Hmmmmm. @AdamC has been through the whole CS system and can see no question or conversation about 822's. If you asked the Japanese they would have said they cant ship to you, but they should have pointed you in our direction, sorry. Anyway, as I say, they are not Japanese exclusive and an IH-822 is an IH-822, if they differed, they would have different lot numbers. So, if you want a pair please drop us a note…

Very proud to see this pinned at the top of the forum

Looking forward to joining the brotherhood soon. Last summer I got really into overalls and coveralls, ready to commit to a legit pair. I still have several pairs of 80's-early 90's US Army coveralls in green that I don't see myself ever not wearing.
In all my other IH jeans, I's either a 33 or 34. (33 in 666S and 666SII, 34 in 666XHS and 634S) Should I do a 34 in these?
-
@chrisjohnnick definitely a 34.

@chrisjohnnick what he said ^^^
