BROTHERHOOD OF BIB
-
I am going to Japan as soon as they remove the travel ban. I will totally pick you up a pair if we get to go to Iron Heart. My girlfriend has been before so it's really about which places I want to see; I think we are going for a week hopefully that is enough to satiate the desire for a while.
-
While not the same cut or material, Grease Point Workwear has some pretty killer double knee pants.
I agree about the notion of not thinking you're gonna be able to pull these bibs.off,.I'm still not 100% across that bridge, but they're so cool I kinda have to just tell myself, "who cares" whenever I grab them -
There is a pair of Japanese only Iron Heart work pants in (I think) 21 oz denim that look exactly like the bibs but without the bib. I tried to see if they could get me a pair but it's impossible.
I've had overalls before (Carhartt) and I love the idea the fit, the feel, etc… but I don't know that I have the gumption to wear a pair and pull it off.
You tried us?
They are not Japanese only, we sold them, but they sold poorly, which is why we stopped selling them..

@Giles Yes I did. Unless the current offering in Japan is different than this? It looks really similar.
-
Hmmmmm. @AdamC has been through the whole CS system and can see no question or conversation about 822's. If you asked the Japanese they would have said they cant ship to you, but they should have pointed you in our direction, sorry. Anyway, as I say, they are not Japanese exclusive and an IH-822 is an IH-822, if they differed, they would have different lot numbers. So, if you want a pair please drop us a note…

Very proud to see this pinned at the top of the forum

Looking forward to joining the brotherhood soon. Last summer I got really into overalls and coveralls, ready to commit to a legit pair. I still have several pairs of 80's-early 90's US Army coveralls in green that I don't see myself ever not wearing.
In all my other IH jeans, I's either a 33 or 34. (33 in 666S and 666SII, 34 in 666XHS and 634S) Should I do a 34 in these?
-
@chrisjohnnick definitely a 34.
-
@chrisjohnnick what he said ^^^
-
I second @Filthy and affirm @LewisStonehouse & @endo's seconding of @Filthy
I'm a tagged 34 in the 634S and tagged 33 in the 634-XHS. A 34 in the 805 is perfect for me.
-
Thanks all. That takes a lot of the guess work out on my end, and all I have to do is hit buy when it's available.
-
-
I go 34 in the XHSib and got these in 34. Good luck with the hunt, hope to see some fit pics soon

With each and every wear I am slowly finding how awesome these bibs really are. Wake up late? Just jump right into the bibs pjs and all and viola ready to roll out the door fully dressed. Want to hit up some spots after work without being all dusty and raggedy? Just slip em right off!
-
HELL YES @RoxRocks86
I will say that anytime I need to do more than walk about or lounge these are INTENSE and far too hot. How've they been for you working in them so far?
Edit: That Good Art gear looks rad af.

BROTHERHOODmake that SISTERHOOD of the bib. Holy smokes @RoxRocks86. and Luke is right that Good art EDC is stunning. -
@henry_david haha yeah i can only wear these comfortably to work if the location is breezy and not super humid. It’s 82F, 54% humidity with 14mph wind right now so it’s survivable
But using these for work have been great. Love how useful the pockets are when I just need to carry around a few hand tools/fasteners and best part is not feeling weighed down from the hips like on normal denim when hanging tools off a belt or pocket.
