IH-634-LB - Straight Cut Loom Breakers….
-
-
Great shots of your LB's @jordanscollected love the patch on these. always wondered what loom breakers were when you'd list them on the waywt thread.
-
I didn’t know either @RoxRocks86 , until I saw others posting. A couple years ago someone offered up a brand new pair on the forum, and my wife surprised me with them.
I know there aren’t many out there in the first place , but you’d think someone still has them in rotation. Lest we rename this “Jeff’s LB thread”.
-
God, they look so good @jordanscollected! Nice work. I was late to the game on this fabric and it kills me every time I see photos.
-
There’s been buzz lately about the fabric @Palmer, with discussions around the double
Indigo duck being ahead of its time. Thanks and I hope it gets made again, no leg twist here!
-
@jordanscollected Seems about right. You're basically the only one keeping this thread alive
Just scrolled thru this thread & gotta say this is one helluva pair. Looks fantastic in all stages.
& your wife is awesome! Was this your first pair of IH bottoms?
-
They were my first pair @RoxRocks86. Though I had done a world tour with the 888’s before I actually got a pair.
I am fairly new (late 2017) to high end menswear and it took me awhile to discover Iron Heart while I navigated lesser brands. Therefore, I had 3 pairs of entry level denim that kept me from “needing” a pair from iron heart. Now, like many, I’m hooked but I still move slow in buying new stuff. My wife has big dreams that has nothing to do with clothing.

Update on the Loombreakers. 2 months short of 2 years of modest wear in rotation with the No Lots. why are both my pairs of IH denim a screw up and a broken loom screw up?
-
-
Great detail shots of your loom breakers @jordanscollected they are looking pretty sweet! Love it when it reaches this stage where the whiskers and combs start to pop.
-
@jordanscollected those look so great. Super jelly. I wish I would have gotten a pair.
-
I’m sending my LB’s off to Science + Kindness for repairs. I’ll get ‘em back in a few weeks and upload some post repair pics.
-
@jordanscollected looks like you’ve put those through the wringer…and they’re awesome. Interested to see the repairs when done. Safe travels LBs
-
@jordanscollected wow, those look amazing the way they have faded to such a light color. I am sure those will look even better with repairs.
Are the Loom Breakers the same duck as the 526-DD?
-
@Oaktavia I'm not positive Steve. I know that the LB's were made on a selvedge loom, and broke that loom. I also recall the loombreakers weighing in at 16oz and yours states 16.5 so may have a bit heavier of a fabric. The double indigo duck is and stays relatively crispy compared to denim. Don't expect "sweatpants" comfort over time. They do soften some and have a really smooth handfeel, but they also remind you they are firm and really tightly woven. They also have a tendency to not stretch, and instead rip in high wear areas. I know you'll put this jacket through the paces and get rewarded with electric blues very early on.

@SKT Safe travels indeed. S&K is just over in St. Paul so it's only going across the metro. They did a great crotch repair for me a few years ago in tonal stitching, but I plan to add the slightest pop of color to this repair.
