Random Rants

I'm 18 minutes late for work so far waiting for this tanker to fill up with tar. I cant back up either because it's a one lane road and there are umpteen tricks/cars behind me.
36000 or 50000 gallons full the sign says…

@Filthy Bone apple tea!
I'll never forget the worst slice of pizza I've ever seen. My buddy ordered it, took one bite, and then threw it in the trash. I had to document the moment.
-
Edit: I was thinking about this again, and I didn't throw mine away. I thought mine was good. I have been carefully brainwashed to be grateful for everything, especially food. So I don't ever throw food away. I always eat it. But this was actually not too bad.

For a quick single, I've had Celeste and Red Baron. In this category I prefer Red Baron. Obviously, I would really prefer a true Pizza.

Microwave Mushroom Pizza hits different.

Man, fuck HGTV. Putting unrealistic expectations of project costs and/or timelines drives me insane. I just got done hanging a massive cedar floating shelf and the “how hard can it be?” comments are about to drive me up a wall. I’ve got well over 100 hours in it (plus >$800 in hardware, stain, etc) and it was a bear to get mounted correctly to put it mildly.

Oof. I feel this way about most home improvement diy. Good luck with it!

It's the absolute worst. I owned a 100 year old row home in Baltimore with a friend and he was like: "hey how about we replace this dome light with a ceiling fan?" We take the dome light off and it's just hanging from the drywall not a joist in sight! The joist of course was ridiculously far from where we'd want the fan to actually be, so we had to cut away a huge portion of dry wall to mount an intermediate beam to mount the ceiling fan. Of course it was like 3 days and 4 trips to home depot to finish it. And don't even get me started on the time a drunk friend shoulder-barged through our (completely unlocked) door…
