Samples - New Products We Are Working On

“Shirt with pockets > shirt without pockets” has always been a reliable equation, for my purposes at least
But I wouldn’t layer a CPO. It’s its own outer layer. That’s why you need both
-
The openings on shirts have been getting too narrow.
Is that like saying Policemen are getting younger :), because we have not knowingly or wittingly changed the standard western pattern?
-
Maybe? I dunno. I always look at measurements on new shirts, and it used to be that mediums were consistently around 21” or greater at the opening. These days they seem to be less. My womanly hips can’t hang with anything below 21.5”, really, and these days most larges aren’t making that mark either? Perhaps I should make a chart [emoji23] for myself.

Ooh both of those are super welcome… I guess since they're the same fabric, I'd opt for the CPO when it comes to the question of to pocket or not to pocket. Plus I have a Johnny Cash so maybe a tad of redundancy for the regular western there, despite diff weight obviously.

Can you share what the third items in this picture is (the jacket sitting on top of the new 533)? It looks like it has a wool lining or something similar?
Thanks! Jim

Looking forward to seeing the wabash chore sample when it lands over the coming weeks/months

16oz SBG CPO
thanks G.

Nope sorry - it's a collab, not our place to divulge….
OK, thanks anyway. I'm curious to see what you come up with. My heart longs for a Type III with a blanket lining and a corduroy collar - I love my IH-101J-SR, but a type III with similar features would be amazing.

How about this instead (not blanket lined, but still)

Alex, thanks for your reply. The new 533 is already on my radar - it looks amazing! I'm really excited for those to come out, and as long as the sizing works out, I plan on grabbing one! I was lamenting that I'd missed the original 533's, and lo and behold, I saw you were working on a new version.
In light of that jacket, perhaps I'm asking for too much of the same thing, but a blanket lining works over a wide range of temperatures here in Oregon, and the corduroy collar feels warmer on the neck on cold days. (For that matter, a sherpa collar on a sherpa jacket is a functional feature on really cold days, but I love the look of the corduroy collar on the sherpa jacket, so you'll hear no complaints from me!)

I dig that herringbone!

I can't say too much. But H is completely rethinking raw denim and how to make it. I know some of the details, but he won't even let me send samples to retailers in case it falls into the wrong hands.
What I can say, is that it will be raw in the purest sense, no sanforizing, no washing, no singeing, no skewing, no nada….
But it will be over-engineered and over-designed in every sense.
H still rethinking?
