@Jett129 oh, no doubt he seems a good guy, just never seem a film that he's made that's been my thing.

You know… it's about time I start watching Christmas Vacation nearly daily for the next month or so
It's gettin' there! We actually did our first Love Actually viewing already, even before Hallowe'en was done and dusted!

I was thinking this exact thing this past weekend.

Oh yeah, that's a great one. And Home Alone, of course. And The Snowman, with its lovely intro by Bowie in his short-lived 'nice cardie and a scarf' phase.

I watched a couple of trailers for mid-90s…anyone remember the film 'kids'?...used actual skater kids from Washington Square Park in NYC. When I used to visit a friend who lived in the village you'd see them skating in the park. Mid-90s looks like kids' little brother.

I thought the same thing. Looks like a newer version of Kids.
Still hyped to see it though. That was my era,
Skated everyday and have so many great memories from that time.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Watched "Rush" (1991) again. Great soundtrack thanks to Clapton, and it was fun seeing Gregg Allman as a drug kingpin. Solid flick.

I love that movie. There’s something special about the pace, performances and story. Low key but intense on all counts. Plus I’m a huge fan of JJL.

Thoroughbreds - epic movie. One of those that most likely slipped you by but is DEFO worth a viewing [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

Yes, great assessment–and she was REALLY good, as was Patric. And of course I always enjoy Sam Elliot and found, despite almost no lines, that Allman was a convincing biker dealer character.

Definitely reminds me of Kids although there are some semi well known actors/actresses in Kids sprinkled in with actors/skaters. BTW, speaking of KIDS….remember her?:
She's the very young girl who hooks up with Telly in the bedroom, I'm sure those who have seen KIDS will remember the scene.
EDIT: I should add that I can't actually confirm this is actually her but when you Google the cast of KIDS it shows her mug shot. Sarah Henderson is her name.

Gonna go see ”Overlord” tomorrow: nazis, zombies and - so I’ve been lead to believe - nazi-zombies. How bad could it possibly be? ::)
Watched ”First Man” yesterday. Solid. Not a massive crowd-pleaser, probably, rather more of a contemplative piece with lots of melancholy and sad/worried/tired faces. Ryan Gosling has that quality about him, his Armstrong and his replicant K are brothers from a different mother. I enjoy watching him, he is very understated in a relaxing way.
Oh and astronauts in the 60’s were absolutely full-on bonkers.
