This is one lovely shacket. Feels a lot more substantial than 12oz.

The sleeves feel like they will benefit from a hot wash to get a bit of shrink. If they don't then I won't worry too much as the weather gets colder this will have layers under it.

You can hot wash IH wabash and it will shrink, especially in length. But do soak thoroughly first and use low rpm’s or else you’ll get ugly white lines.

Funny you should mention the weight, I picked up a IHSH-33 the other day (I already have a 62 and a 68) and was surprised how light it felt compared to wabash despite them both being 12oz. It’s a result of the stiffness of the wabash compared to the softness of the denim I think.

I was going to stick it in a 40 wash first then step up to a hotter one after that.

It makes my IHSH-141 feel really lightweight. Feels warmer too

I’d just go straight to 60C. But do the soak.

They are warm as it’s a pretty tight weave. Doesn’t breath.

Don't you worry I will be going as hard as possible on it. Pretty confident that my plan of hard use and regular washing should yield some good results.

                            Thanks again G

If I remember correctly, the wabash is a 2/1 weave and the denim is a 3/1, which probably does a lot to change the character of the fabric.
