Natto, on the other hand, is one of my favorites. I could eat the stuff all day long

YEAAAHHH love for natto snotto ❤ right on!!!!!

Nattou is the only food that I've requested my wife not eat around me…..

Once a month, she gets 1kg of soy beans and makes her own.
Seriously, there is a drawer in the freezer that ONLY has nattou in it, lol

How do you make your own natto? I know it's fermented soybeans but what is the fermenting process like? Does it stink up the place? It's definitely an acquired taste. I hated the stuff when I was a kid but over time I started to like it. Maybe if you tried it a little at a time you might like it.

        (The abridged version)

Boil the soy beans and soak them for a day or 2, then use some store bought nattou to add the bacteria culture. After than, you let them sit in Tupperware for a few days (In a warm place) while the bacteria multiplies and the beans ferment. As far as the smell goes, idk… She does all nattou making and eating while I'm at work, lol!

She makes her own tofu as well.

*I skip basically all of the soy foods, aside from soy sauce.

Sarina took me an Udon restaurant for lunch today "In Kojima you are not allowed to pay"…..

As we sat down next to an elderly gentleman, he said to Sarina, "Mr Gaijin, he like noodle?"

Sarina commented, when relating what he said, "at least he was polite, he called you Mr"....

@Matty123  The holes are from when they started to split this rock to make belgium blocks but never finish it. This was done most likely in around 1885 to 1890.

Does it ever freeze there @twin ? You would expect ice to split that rock over winter, wouldn't you?

Climbed up to Wankspitze (2209m) in Tyrol, it wasn't as difficult as it looks on the pics, in fact it is rated easy to moderate.
