Not a real big Duck fan,but I’d be all over that. Wouldn’t care how long the sleeves were,cause I’d be riding with it.

I’d definitely be all for a re-run on this one. Perhaps with some slightly modified “upgrades” (ie two way zipper, slightly lengthened body length)

So, these next shots are after the 2nd wash. Which was about 3 hours after the first… The red cotton chest pocket? It turns out that it really likes to lose dye. No problem I thought, it doesn't look like it has stained. Of course, the duck was still far to dark due to the hand wash. After it had dried however... There was a massive pink stain all around the pocket opening on both sides of the jacket.

There followed variations on the theme of "oh shit, I've just ruined this jacket".

After I'd calmed down, I washed it again...

And on the prospect of a possible resurrection  - navy duck with copper hardware??

I've been oohing and awwing over this jacket since I first heard of it, but, of course, it's nearly impossible to find.

I found an eBay listing the other day, from a Japanese seller with perfect rep.  The jacket looks a lot like the 2527j but has little differences, like the number of snaps on the collar, rivet-like buttons on the sides of the chest pocket.  @sabergirl and I were chatting about it.  She's purchased from this seller before and I figured it was worth the risk, so I picked it up.

The jacket is fantastic!  I'm in-between sizes so I think I may have sized up if I had the chance, but I think that this is a trim and flattering size on me.  I'm posting some additional pics to see what you guys think of the jacket.  Maybe some Japan-only earlier edition?

Guessing by the tag, it may have been an early sample jacket. Great score!
