I took my 801’s to my tailor for a couple modifications. I wanted the leg opening down to 9” from 9.8 and had him take them in at the waist at least an inch. I think he did a great job because to do it properly he had to open them up at the knee to taper correctly. You can’t really tell from the pictures but I guess that’s a sign of a good job. The best part is that he left the material at the waist that he took in on the inside of the pants so they could be let out again in the future. He said he did this because “these pants will outlive me (he’s 80 years old) and you may gain some wait back when you are an old man” a true testament to the materials and workmanship. Here are a couple pictures.

The hole appeared rather suddenly.  The other faded areas around the crotch are also thinning quite considerably.

Hmmmm.  I could repair that, but I would not say my darning skills are anything to write home about.  The repairs in Japan are sometimes brilliant, sometimes not.  The only person I trust 100% is Raine from Indigo Proof…

Ok, great. I was probably paying too much attention to your previous post, but I'm more than happy sending them your way.

I'll give you a shout when I get a chance and may even drop them off or collect them personally if you'll allow. I'd love to have a nosey around the place if possible and it'll make a change from GOSH.

My (no longer) white IH thermal waffle and my Wrangler ecru selvedge denim jacket have both received the at-home-overdye-treatment. I was hoping that the denim jacket would end up black however, it's more like a deep blue. The thermal came out superb. I am happy with the results however, my attempts at avoiding buying an IH-101J-BLK have been foiled.

Had the sleeves shorted on my indigo riders jacket and a Momotaro shirt shortened by Pinnasandneedles in Soho, London. Got recommended them by Rivet and Hide. Excellent workmanship. They shortened and retapered the sleeves and also maintained the chambray lining, gusset zips etc. Cost me £90 to get the sleeves done but certainly money well spent imo as they did an excellent job.

Looks like a very nice job and one which to me seems not too simple. So they removed and shortened the zip as well I assume when they tapered it, well worth it, looks great fit on you
