I'd love a black denim shirt, as long as it's neither black x black nor non-fade.

I'd back that up, though I'm not a huge fan of the standard work shirt chest pockets.  I do love the pocket design on the IHSH-135

What about them, the fact they are open?

Still, I wasn't aware of this one so thank you!  😉

My pleasure. I was sure there used to be a work shirt in the same denim but I can’t find it in the Extinct section so I could be mistaken.

Yeah, probably this reason.  And the western pocket cut looks more appealing to me.

The USN shirt prevents stuff from falling out, but does so whilst still looking good.  I love the pen holder being accessible even with the pocket closed, nice detail!

I’m a big fan of the standard IH workshirt pockets - love the understated look - but I agree the grey herringbone also sounds good with USN pockets.

                            Yep!

IMO, flannel work shirts with open pockets look usually great, but when it comes to denim and chambray shirts it actually depends on actual fabric, stitching and buttons combo.

Just throwin’ my two cents in here, but a black fade to grey, sawtooth denim shirt would fit the bill. And just while I’m at it … heavy hoodie made out of the red marl material from last year’s sweats.

Totally agree with you @krzy. I find I like the chambray open pockets when the stitching isn't too contrasty with the fabric. Otherwise, the I don't like how the double stitching stands out on both pockets.

                                  The journey is the objective.

It’s probably a long shot, but an 8oz SB workshirt with contrast stitching and the 135 pockets.

If we are making something “new,” it might as well be different.

Edit: stainless cats eye buttons are an obvious choice

A vote in favour of the stitching here - one of my favourite features, especially on the plainer shirts
