It doesn't have to be 12oz, 8-10oz is enough for a nice denim shirt
I went great lenghts looking for a proper black denim shirt. Levi's of course makes them (especially one from orange tab line), but I do prefer to buy stuff from smaller manufacturers that have control over their factory/working environment. I really dig Rogue Territory one, but it's out of stock for a time being.
Btw, I once bought a Levi's pocket tee… without a pocket

We have identified that black denim shirts are missing from our arsenal, so, alongside SS19 we wil have a few black items to show in July at SR which would be ready for production sooner than the usual seasonal releases. The Johnny Cash 3 is an option but H needs to work

I'd back that up, though I'm not a huge fan of the standard work shirt chest pockets. I do love the pocket design on the IHSH-135

What about them, the fact they are open?
Yeah, probably this reason. And the western pocket cut looks more appealing to me.
The USN shirt prevents stuff from falling out, but does so whilst still looking good. I love the pen holder being accessible even with the pocket closed, nice detail!

I’m a big fan of the standard IH workshirt pockets - love the understated look - but I agree the grey herringbone also sounds good with USN pockets.

Just throwin’ my two cents in here, but a black fade to grey, sawtooth denim shirt would fit the bill. And just while I’m at it … heavy hoodie made out of the red marl material from last year’s sweats.
