191 looking great, boys. I'm going to say it again, when it comes to this pattern and c/w, work shirt>western

First bit of Iron Heart flannel.  Well done, you have a new fan in Alaska.

      Edit for better photo:

@Johnny Blade great way to start. Looks fekkin' great with that canvas jacket. What brand is that btw? Looks waxed, and very nice…

Thanks!  The jacket is a Filson short lined cruiser, perfect with the IH UHF.

              @Peterpiper:

…..... can’t understand the lack of interest compared to the western!

^The WORK in this pattern is absolutely beatiful !

Maybe it's the fact that the more tailored western fit is more popular than the roomier work shirt fit?  The waist and opening on the work are a bit bigger (mainly the opening) and it has a bit more of a bell shape to it judging by the fit guide.

                    And so are your boots…

Thanks Eli, they're my favorite boots.
I'd love for Viberg to make some oxfords just like this so I could wear them in the summer.
But hey, them being full on boots doesn't stop me from wearing them in Texas summers.  😃

This is a beautiful shirt, the colours are really vibrant. I totally agree with Work over Western in this flannel pattern. Love having the thread run offs and no snaps for a change..

Is this worth worrying about? thinking of pulling through the other side of the fabric..

Don't think you did miss it, I've had a heavy old camera bag on my shoulder all day and only just noticed. The brass on the strap might well have been the culprit.. (this is what you get if you refuse to upgrade your bags at the same time as getting heavier kit).. thanks for the quick reply as always

If you've not fixed it already @EJS you can buy needles with abrasive ends that are perfect for pulling snags, loose threads etc through to the inside. They can be a lifesaver and worth keeping around.

                                For example

Thanks Sam, just done it.. used a pair of fine tweezers but those needles do look very handy

I’m washing my 191 for the first time and I noticed mine doesn’t have the normal printed IH care instructions on the inside. Anyone else or is mine rare?  😃

We have noticed that a few shirts are coming without this now, as in whole lots rather than a hanful of a certain IHSH-xx

I never owned Ultra heavy flannels nor seen one in person. Maybe have to drive two hours to visit self edge.

Is it 12oz? I am considering but afraid this may become just dec-Jan shirt .
I owned IHSH-193 and think that shirt is thick

Can anyone share their experience if they have both 193 & 191?

                                        Thank you

The UHFs are 2oz thicker than the 193 you have, and they are brushed on both sides (twice on the inside) so feel thicker and comfier than the unbrushed. I can wear my UHFs for longer than the period you mention, but they are too hot to wear in the summer for sure!
