I do agree though, Del Taco over Taco Bell…that being said I still get a random craving for Taco Bell once very six months or so.  But overall I will pick real Mexican food over both the vast majority of the time.  Luckily there's real Mexican food right around the corner from my house....think I shall partake in that tonight actually.  Thanks @TrickHell for the idea, some Carne Asada sounds damn good right about now.

Mexicans who prefer Taco Bell or Del Taco might just be the equivalent of Americans who prefer KFC or Bojangles to homemade fried chicken. I expect sodium and fried fat addiction. Or maybe they're like the picky folks who can't eat anything with flavors beyond a certain sub-set, or vegetables. E.G. the adults who come into my restaurant with a plethora of choices, and have to order chicken fingers and fries off the kid's menu. They seem to have poor taste to you and me, and they'll be rewarded for their devotion to fried food by hypertension, heart disease, and obesity.

That said, I ate gorditas de chicharrón, fried quesadillas, or tacos al pastor almost every day on the street when I lived in Mexico. If we had continued to live there I would've faced the same fate.

        But I would've died happy.

I went to a BBQ at a friends' house this weekend, and had a similar conversation…

I would much rather have a McDonald's burger than a homemade burger.

My devotion to beer will lead to the same… But I too will die happily  😎

I can't really fault that- it's a hobby, like drinking beer or buying clothing from tiny companies with obsolete manufacturing techniques.  Everybody got their something…

I agree with Seul to an extent. Everyone's got their thing, but…
I worked with a guy who was absolutely obsessed with health and fitness to the point where he couldn't even go hang out with us to get something to eat unless the place we were going had something that was 100% healthy.
If the beef wasn't grass fed, gluten free, free-range blah blah blah he just wouldn't even tag along.
Kinda limiting way to live life if you ask me. But then again who am I to judge.  😃

Not at all - I'm talking about the people that swear by super foods, special waters, gojiberries, yoga; you know… They probably exercise a lot as well, but not necessarily...

I use a canvas totebag frequently when i'm out and about with my son. I keep stuff like spare clothes, snacks, sunscreen, etc., in there if we're just ducking out to a mall or playground, or use it for the library when i'm checking out books and dvd's. If we're at the zoo then i'll bring a backpack. Agree with Untucked, if it's a fashion accessory then no way but for practical use yes.

Honest question- isn't it more of a hassle to carry all that in a tote bag, instead of a backpack or messenger bag?  I like to have my hands free, especially when I'm out somewhere with the kids.

@Chris I dont know the manufacturer or your bag but it's a beauty. I love those Cobra buckles and the leather looks like it is breaking in really nicely.

I find myself reaching for my Tripper a lot because it holds a TON of stuff. It's a great carryon too because it will easily hold all my in-flight gear plus 2 days of clothes. Not having a shoulder strap can be a detractor but the organization and usefulness of the bag make up for it IMO.
