@jvicente86 , apologies for the late reply. After two full on machine washes the thigh measures 13.8", measured the Iron Heart way.

Made in England, clothed in Japan, fed in America and drunk in Belgium !

I just purchased the IH-888-NT deposit in size 34. Looking forward to this UHR denim in this new cut.

Now I'm wondering if I shoud get the 888S when they're released in August  +/-…  ???

I haven't committed yet because I actually have a pair of UHR on the go and no 21oz in rotation. But getting both is horribly tempting…  ::)

@Giles I'm tempted to use the free hemming service, but with raw denim there's always a little bit of a gamble getting them hemmed before shrinking. It seems there's approximately 2" +/- in shrink in length in the UHR, so if I want an inseam length of 33", I should get them hemmed to 35". Maybe 35.5", to err on the longer side, rather than shorter?

Will there be any special bobbin thread color for the hem? Thanks. mpp

The dilemma for me was/is the pre-sale on the 888-NT goes thru July 18th, but the 888S won't be released for another few weeks. I'm really interested in this cut, as well as the denim given how great so many folks say it is. But I won't know if the cut is to my liking until I actually try them on. If the cut and denim are really as good as I'm expecting, this could be very close to grail jeans for me. Granted, it seems there will be an 888-UHR released at the same time the 888-NT are ready, so I could have waited for the 888S and then the get the 888-UHR if they are to my liking…. but I didn't  :o

I have a suspicion the pre-sale on these 888-NT is going to be extended, but I could be wrong as I often am about such things as suspicions.

neph, the UHR BBs are great but I think this cut will be even better. You can always justify both because the 21ozers will have yellow arcs and the NTs navy ones (+ the DWC patch).

I have a question forAny one who has experience with this denim. Has anyone found that the waist will stretch past the tagged size? I found that the flagship stretched past the tag size a bit. I need every bit of the 40 of a size 40 lol

                  Maybe so. Maybe not

I find myself in a similar boat. The 21oz is a more predictable denim so for me, I'll know exactly what size to order when the actual measurements come in. The UHR is trickier though, even though I own a pair. So I'd like to have the 21oz first to dial in my size.

Having one pair of UHR I can say truthfully that it is one of, and probably the nicest, denim in the IH catalogue with the caveat that I have no experience with the 19L. STF denim makes me nervous in general but this stuff is so good that I can't see me passing up on a pair.

I suspect the deadline is set because of the necessity of having the jeans ready, shipped from Japan, hemmed and shipped out again in time for the start of the DWC. I doubt there's a lot of margin for extensions but we'll see.

The BB was a great cut, and the UHR Busters are
amongst my favourite jeans….these are better in my opinion, more flattering, cleaner cut and more versatile.

Haha… the arcs may swing it. I'm 100% sure these will fit me better than my bb uhr's. It's going to be the 21oz for sure, and a high probability of either the 888NT or the 888UHR. I'm telling myself that worst case scenario, the NT/UHR's should be bought and can be saved for a rainy day as this is most likely "last chance to see" for this denim. The only question is whether or not I cave before 18.7 [emoji28]

Not on the production jeans, but if you are having them hemmed, you can choose any color you want....

There is no minimum for these because we are making them for the DWC, I'd look a complete arse if I said: "Erm Gav, it ain't happening after all, sorry.  Do you want to tell everyone who's pre-ordered that I've screwed them and the DWC, or shall you?…"

                                        See here:

                                        http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=10378.msg503646#msg503646

That's how we will manage demand and ensure that everyone who has ordered a pair will get a pair even if they need to change size from their pre-order.

Once the pre-order is over that's it.

We may end up with the odd pair once production is completed and we juggle sizes and pre-orders, but there is zero guarantee.

Certainly not in my experience. I have this denim in the BB cut from the last DWC. From my experience, and from what I've read of other's experience, cuts in this denim come up slightly bigger than the same cut in other denim. Add the fact that they have larger dimensions while raw and you can end up with jeans that are too big. I've seen Gavin (Megatron1505) recommend going TTS with these, he has the sample pair. I'm about a W35 and I'll go for that or maybe even a W34.
