Is there a chance this fabric will be used to make another black western shirt since IHSH-85 is now extinct?

Probably not.  We don't hold the black in stock.  We hold natural undyed.  When we decide to make something we dye the fabric.  The minimum dye run is large and I am pretty sure too large for me to commit to for shirts.  If we rerun the work pants, I may be able to dye some extra and use for shirts…..

Are these ok to throw in the dryer to get the shrink out before I get them hemmed?

@Giles I remember you mentioned that IH hold the undyed fabric in stock and apply dye as needed, any chance of other colors in the future? The khaki and black are likely to be my most wear chinos. thanks

@sabergirl are they as shiny in person as they look in some of the pictures?

Correct.  We do khaki, black and beige.  Other colours are a probability…..

They are shiny.  That's what mercerisation does.  That said, we shoot with lights or sun, so the shininess is a little exaggerated….

Thanks @Giles.  I have the 707's which I love but the shine seems to be a bit more noticeable on the black fabric compared to the khaki??  A little shine doesn't bother me but I guess the only way I'll truly find out is by picking up a pair and seeing for myself.

They aren't that shiny in person. Also, my experience with the other two colors is that the shine wears off with a few washes.

I don't think they're too shiny. Definitely not much more so than many un brushed chinos.

I did a cold soak and air dried them and there is no noticeable shrinkage, though I didn't measure. I really like them. The fabric feels slick and I think they will be great for informal and formal occasions.
