I'm making as many as we can from the fabric that we can weave in time to make the shirts.  I reckon that is maybe 120-140 shirts.  Whether I take them all or not, or let Haraki have a few for Japan is not decided….

I'm thinking pimping would be good, but I'm for a more subtle approach, maybe the clear? Also because I feel brass works with the red. Either way, seeing it on Alex has turned it from a cool shirt for a cool gig, to being a great shirt I'm really looking forward to.

They actually both work really well. The brass/clear ones let the shirt do the talking and have a more vintage fee,l and the MOP pick out the white in the pattern nicely. Good to have options  ::)

I think I like the MOP best actually. The blue in the checks comes through most so to have the contrast to that while picking up the white is a nice touch, I think.

I may go the full 9 yards this afternoon…

The sleeves look like they are a bit short (like the Dobby).  This is especially noticeable on Alex's right arm.  Is there any chance to request these be made with longer length sleeves?

You're quite right the MOP makes everything pop. It's horses for courses, but I think I prefer a more muted look. Are the grey snaps translucent or opaque? That is to say, can you see the pattern through them?

It is worth noting, @DrPat, I am (un)lucky enough to have an arm span longer than my height so not the best person to gauge sleeve length from!
