I hot soaked my DCTs for a couple hours and they shrunk about an inch.

So I'm guessing you mean "I will soak them again" but just in case I'm going to take you literally.  Don't soak just the hems, you need to soak the entire jean if you expect to get that shrinkage.  The entire jean needs to shrink in length.

I know it's not a popular thing to do around here,but whenever I get new jeans I throw them right in the washer and the dryer and be done with it. After the first time they hang dry. I haven't measured how much the shrunk,but they fit perfect. I have the tapered model.

Is a soak recommended for these before wearing? I couldn't find any solid guidance when I got a pair of the XHS but I soaked and didn't experience any noticeable difference.

I'd been kicking around the idea of picking these up since the thread dropped last fall.  Then the pics of the arcs came out.  I held off for a moment...but while meditating the Force told me these were needed and I don't like to argue with the Force.  Luckily the Force kept a few 32's around for me to work with.  My first pair of 666's! 

If only UPS had hyperdrives…

^No need.  They will turn into comfy double indigo sweatpants more quickly if you just go ahead and sleep in them. I think I remember someone in the 666XHS thread doing that.  But seriously, they look awesome.

Great fit. I can't wait until my tapered pair gets here. I may even try to wear 'em through the summer. If the Pronto customers can do it, so can I, right?!
