IHB-05 - Heavy Nubuck Belt with Brass Hardware
-
What a perfect timed coincidence. I had received an XL nubuck belt yesterday, but it's too big. Was contemplating getting the L sized belt, or punching more holes in my XL. Glad you guys discussed shortening the belt before I did anything, phew!
Good stuff! Can I ask what size jeans you take? Shortening looks like fun and games, but if the L fits right out of the bag I might as well go for that.

I am a 33-34 in IH bottoms, and the L fits perfectly out of the bag. However, as a former 34-36, I would say the L probably would not work as well as sticking with the LL/XL and making the adjustments. Just my two cents.

Nice one, appreciate it.

I'm a W36 and the XL is just a tad too long. But seeing as it's easy to shorten the belt, I think I'll just do that instead of ordering an L, and risk finding out it's a bit too short.

I pulled the trigger on an XL just before you posted
According to the site measurements the first hole should do. But my XL from SENY doesn't match those measurements so we'll see. Bit of DIY leather fuckery will be fun, anyways. Thanks for answering though!

Yessir, there is a sizing range on the website but I would need the mentioned measure in order to decide for an L or XL (I like to end up in the middle or in the 5th hole)
If you have any doubt, I would go XL. You can always cut it down to size (this is way easier than it sounds… there's even a video somewhere).

This is what I did with the 01. The 05 in XL is out of stock at the moment…
Ahh gotcha. That makes sense.

I recently got both the black and tan versions; beautiful belts!
As I started wearing them I noticed the buckle wouldn't quite center over the fly…it sits off centered to the right (looking from above). It appears the brass belt loop is spaced too far from the buckle. Once the brass belt loop comes up to the jean's first belt loop, you can't slide it sideways anymore. I haven't taken any pics yet but you can see that this shows up on the upside-down picture posted by Drbabyhorse on the first page of this thread.
I wear IH size 34 and I realize this may not be noticeable in larger sizes (38 or larger), but I assume the problem may be more noticeable with smaller sizes. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?
In terms of solutions...I guess repositioning the first stud/screw closer to the belt buckle would solve the problem. Basically punching in two new hole nearer to the buckle. Has anyone tried that? Or do any of you have a better solution?

I thought about repositioning the stud too but never got around to it. I'm a 36 waist.
