I'm a W36 and the XL is just a tad too long.  But seeing as it's easy to shorten the belt, I think I'll just do that instead of ordering an L, and risk finding out it's a bit too short.

I pulled the trigger on an XL just before you posted  😉 According to the site measurements the first hole should do. But my XL from SENY doesn't match those measurements so we'll see. Bit of DIY leather fuckery will be fun, anyways. Thanks for answering though!

Giles, could you please measure the L version from the base of the buckle (end of leather part) to the middle hole?
            Thanks a lot!!!

              Ouch sorry @jay-cy

@Winchy @Alex Please could you do that - IHB-01 has measurements in it, so please use that as a guide, do the IHB-04 too.  Please make a note to do it when IHB-02 is restocked.

The measurements may be in the sizing folder as they were def online on the last version of the website

Yessir, there is a sizing range on the website but I would need the mentioned measure in order to decide for an L or XL (I like to end up in the middle or in the 5th hole)

If you have any doubt, I would go XL. You can always cut it down to size (this is way easier than it sounds… there's even a video somewhere).

I can confirm that getting a custom fit off an XL is a super easy, super satisfying job. I've done it twice with great results. A screwdriver, stanley knife, hammer and some kind of hole punch and you're golden.

Now with the measures at hand, I would end up in the middle hole what I dislike a bit (I prefer one hole tighter for optical teasons - I am a pit picky, I know…).
So I will wait for a restock in XL and then shorten with my 01 as template.
                            Thanks to all!
                            Great belts by the way!!!

I recently got both the black and tan versions; beautiful belts!

As I started wearing them I noticed the buckle wouldn't quite center over the fly…it sits off centered to the right (looking from above). It appears the brass belt loop is spaced too far from the buckle. Once the brass belt loop comes up to the jean's first belt loop, you can't slide it sideways anymore. I haven't taken any pics yet but you can see that this shows up on the upside-down picture posted by Drbabyhorse on the first page of this thread.

I wear IH size 34 and I realize this may not be noticeable in larger sizes (38 or larger), but I assume the problem may be more noticeable with smaller sizes. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?

In terms of solutions...I guess repositioning the first stud/screw closer to the belt buckle would solve the problem. Basically punching in two new hole nearer to the buckle. Has anyone tried that? Or do any of you have a better solution?

                                  The journey is the objective.

I thought about repositioning the stud too but never got around to it. I'm a 36 waist.

Still awestruck by my black and tan nubuck's after two months of wear…thanks IH!

I've noticed that the brass loop stands up quite tall when wearing it. It seems as though it is too tall for the cumulative thickness of the 4 layers of leather which go through it. See the picture below. The black belt shows a lot of empty space  while the tan one appears flatter.

The black belt is how I received it from IH, while the tan one went through a minor change. I unscrewed the outermost stud, slid out the brass loop and put it back in UNDER the belt, then tightened the stud once again. Now, the brass loop is positioned a bit lower and looks more balanced IMO. The following picture shows the change in position more clearly.

I found a second benefit to this change…the tip of my belt would creep back towards the buckle and create an unsightly raised loop...with this adjustment that slippage has stopped.

                                        The journey is the objective.
