      @No.88:

      . "Yenim" - the warp is made from Japanese currency pulp, so an obvious nickname!
      . This highly experimental denim utilizes the Warp from our 18oz denim and uses a Weft made from paper currency pulp, which is half the diameter of a cotton yarn, but twice as strong.

      @Giles.
      I'm a tad confused, (which isn't hard). But it looks to me, looking at the description page, that both the warp & the weft are utilising the Japanese currency pulp. Is this correct? I thought is was going to be either the warp or the weft. Or have I  misunderstood? Thanks.

      Whoops - fixed.  Sorry.  Just the weft is paper….

        No need for apologies.
        We all know how pedantic some denim-heads are. (I'm not one of them, but my work requires that I have to check procedures & mechanical maintenance documents from time to time).

          No really, this was a seriously embarrassing fuck up.  I wrote the original sentence, Paula rewrote it (because it was crap) with the added mistake (at least mine was accurate) and then none of us failed to spot the error…

                  I ordered a pair of the 634s, specifically because of how the weft looked on the back and where the denim was creased on the seams.

                  And all this talk of how much they are, yes the yen was stronger two years ago, but the DWCxUHRs were 475$, the 2nd year contest jeans were 425$, and I'm pretty sure I paid 420$ or450$ for my 23oz Self Edge jeans.  While all these fabrics are heavier, the price on these arn't that out of line.  Hell, I have a 675$ pair of Dry Bones that I bought years ago that I haven't even worn yet….

                  I'm looking forward to these, 5 years of skydiving in super heavy weight jeans, it'll be nice to go to a 18oz.

                    They just landed, and these are really quite something! I ended up ordering a tag size 28 and 29, and the 28's didn't fit past my thighs, but the 29's fit just right. My wife has already warned me not to sit on our white dinning room chairs wearing the yenim as the indigo was already rubbing 😉

                    Now to get them hemmed. Cuff or no cuff?

                    Thanks @Giles and @Matt for the help. My first order through IH directly, but not my last.

                      NO CUFF! (Just my humble/biased opinion)….

                        They look amazing. Sometimes the kind of footwear I expect to be wearing most with a pair of jeans will dictate a hem or cuff.

                            Very nice fit, @QuantumMechanic, they look great (and agree you don't need to cuff) 🙂

                              I noticed that Sam and Giles sized down 1 in these but, by the pics, they seems a bit too tight to me. so I went TTS because I would like a more relaxed look, even considering thighs.
                              I'd take the 634, but the measures were too big in my size, so I opted for 666, that I know very well and never disappointed me.
                              I always nailed sizes with IH bottoms (I can wear everything from 28 to 31, no probs)

                                With this order I tried to sabotage IHUK, but @Alex , with great kindness and patience, solved all the problems I had set to destroy their excellent service! Next time I'll do worse, promise …  😉

                                @QuantumMechanic Impressive! I like cuffs too, to be honest.
                                They seem really some puny 13.75oz, on you!
                                I cannot wait to taste their true hulkish 18oz essence  🙂

                                    So @Giles and crew, I'm confused as to what the actual weight is on this denim?  On the back pocket "flasher" (not sure if that's what they're called) it says 14oz but on here they say 18oz.  Which one is it?

                                      We are delighted with the end result which is a denim that feels like 14oz but is stronger than 18oz, however it was a lot more difficult to weave successfully than anticipated so we don’t plan to make this denim/”yenim” again
