He did not.  I decided that we should make the sleeve lengths more consistent with our other shirts…..

      ^Then.
In general, the GILES should stop listening people mourning about sizing issues.  😉

The only one not crying is my wallet.  And it's not even an Iron Heart wallet, damn.

There's the silver lining mate. We can use the money we save on shirts to buy some of that ox-blood cordovan hotness instead.

Otherwise it seems to me the right way to go would be to shorten ALL other IH sleeves in line with last years UHF. Make it so. [emoji38]

Also in the interests of averting thread rot for which I'm partly responsible, the cookie monster looks beautiful, regardless of sleeve length, and again bravo for going large on the stock [emoji1490][emoji1490][emoji1490]

Yes, back on track.  This is a warm warm welcome to the cookie monster, I'm still hoping that somehow the western version will be more my size.

The same here: sleeves are too long and doesn't work for me (can also be seen very well on the pictures with model Patrick). You don't get better quality or style than IH(UHF), but this new measurements sucks…

I lost today, but it doesn't mean I have to like it;-)

Poppycock! We ONLY size up and shrink denim! Anything else would be unthinkable!!!

I am in the minority here, and prefer the longer sleeves. Keeps more of my arms covered when riding during the brisk fall mornings. I don't like reaching for the bars and having my sleeves go half way up my arms.

Longer sleeves are great when you ride a bike/bicycle, but it takes away a lot from the look imo. A little shorter almost always looks better than longer sleeves.

Personally, I purchase the shirts/jeans because of the particular emphasis on motorcycle appropriate clothes, and not so much for the fashion appeal. I believe that was the intention of the brand, but I can be wrong.

Hiya Giles, I really appreciate advice like this, I am broad shouldered shorter fella who prefers Large or XL but the length sometimes gets me. The work shirt Large works for me, but I may give it to my brother (who is a bit taller and slimmer) and pick up a western in XL. If the XL post hot hot wash will shorten it I may go for it. I know it's a very vague science or art even… But hie much shrink can I expect length and width?? Thanks!

I have washed UHF's at 90°C (on your own risk)

Depending if you go for a straight wash at 90°C or if you go through a step by step of 40°C / 60°C / 90°C  washes shrinkage varies a bit.

But you can get up to 1.5" in length, 0.8"-1.2" arm and 0.5"-1" width shrinkage…
