I don't think it makes one a "pansy" to insist on the game being played fairly and the decision based on the merits. I wonder how mvb would feel if the Costa Rican keeper would have behaved as Krul did and they would have won.
And Mega, with all due respect towards a new mod of this forum, what may have passed at Liverpool for ages is one thing, the World Cup is quite another.

if this is what it takes to win such important games well then go for it (by games i'm not talking about those "normal" soccer matches)...hell, this is the world cup guys. not sure if krul (or some other older players from the netherlands) will have this chance again in their lifes, so why not just talk a little bullshit to irritate the opponent. life couldn't be easier if you ask me
and btw. let's not forget that he didn't missed said shot...all went well so no need to discuss!

Just heard the FIFA disciplinary committee is considering an investigation against Krul because of his behavior. They only wait til the "official ref report" is in…wonder how long such things take at the WC?
Those of us who found him objectionable do not seem so very far off then after all!

What FIFA decides to pursue and to not pursue is ridiculous. Suarez ONLY gets a four month ban for the third time he bites another player and Zuniga gets NOTHING for breaking Neymar's back with his knee??? Come on!!
Was Tim Krul being a professional by mouthing off? No.
Should a professional be bothered by what comes out of a goalies mouth? No. The sole focus should be on making the ball meet the back of the net. If they can ignore tens of thousands of the oppositions fans screaming and making gestures, the goalie should make little difference.
Really looking forward to the semis!!

I don't like what Krul did but I see no need for FIFA involvement. If they don't like that behavior they can classify it as misconduct and show cards.

My head says Germany but my heart says Brazil (but only so I can avoid the wife getting too upset). After the amazing group stage it'll just be nice to have a real barn stormer to bring the KO rounds a bit of the same excitement.
