My car was broken into last night. They stole amongst other items a crappy Henri Lloyd jacket that I wear for work, but discarded my Iron Heart jacket in to the street as not worth stealing, I found it still lying in the street in the morning!! They also stole a 4 year old iPod but left behind £12,000 worth of new marine electronics! Thank feck the Gosport low life don't know S###.

Could have been worse, my employers would have had a sense of humour failure if my demo stock had gone missing and I still have my favourite jacket. The police have politely suggested that I may have left the car unlocked …. They might be right!

Due to some bureaucracy that didn't work out in my favor, my orders to Japan have been cancelled. My boss over there didn't even have the decency to tell me himself. Currently looking into other options as it's time to leave DC.

Maybe it'll work out again in a few years. I really feel like I've dodged a bullet though. As gutted as I am, I do see some silver linings.

I sent some of my things (folding table and chairs, plates, forks, knives, coffee mugs) via "express shipment", but never felt comfortable sending any of my clothes or shoes. I guess I knew in my gut to not send anything of real value to me. My shipment is on its way back to me, but it was nearly in California on Friday when I called to cancel it. I was due to report to Japan in two weeks. Damn.

I've never seen so many incompetent drivers in one place. Pretty much every morning, I pass by three accidents and witness three accidents almost happen within a one or two car distance from me.

At work we are basically forced to listen to the local radio station which has a daily feature called the 9@9, where members of the public (morons) select 9 songs to played by a particular artist, or with regards to a particular theme. Some sadistic bastard this morning chose none other than The Proclaimers, I have never heard so much Scottishness in one sitting before, it was like living inside a haggis
