Does IHUK dictate the payment types on PayPal….the reason I ask is the option to pay in 3 payments (similar to klarna) is not an option and I’m sure it used to be?

@bryaneidins70 I have just ran a few tests and I'm able to pay with PayPal Credit or PayPal (standard) the "Pay in 3" option wasn't visible. This is not something we've actively enabled/disabled and from what I've read should be available as standard with PayPal checkout. Some mentioning of the service not being offered based on product so I'll continue to investigate and let you know.

The devil is in the detail..

Strange…just tried it through the sonder site and it was an option. The only difference is my payment option through the iron heart shop defaults straight to my PayPal address and one click and it’s bought.

So I was notified that the jeans I want are back in stock. This forces me to ask a question regarding hemming. I am on the shorter size (5' 6"), so a 36" inseam is way too long for me. I always cuff my selvedge jeans, but I have typically had them hemmed first. I wasn't too sure I should do that with a new pair of Iron Hearts. I typically get my jeans hemmed to 30.5-31" which gives me a small 1" cuff. I am good with a taller cuff, but I have no idea how I would cuff 6" worth of fabric. I need some advice here. Should I order my jeans hemmed and then cuff them, or cuff them as I get them? And if I am to cuff them as I get them, how do I best do that?

                    Jason

@JasonT Maybe getting them hemmed to 31.25 or 31.5 would give you enough wiggle room to allow for any shrinkage, and still give you the amount of cuffing that you’re used to.

Hi All, Great to join this community. Just acquired a pair of used IH-666-XHS 25oz (see attached). Previous owner said these were soaked at the start and machine washed twice. Obviously they do not display natural wear, I do think they do have a certain attraction. Personally I would want them darker. Dare I ask if anyone has any recommendation or experience in darkening 25 oz?s-l1600 (9).jpg . Thanks.s-l1600 (2).jpg s-l1600.jpg

You could overdye those xhs darker @zamnocob but be aware of a couple likely outcomes: the marbling may or may not still show as the depending on what kind of dye you use it might look lighter and darker on the base fabric. Also the patch will probably disintegrate. The poly cotton stitching will only pick up some of the colour, but the yellow will mostly still be there. You'll also get some shrinkage and stiffness probably, although how much is impossible to know as it depends on how they've been washed in the past and how they are dyed. Check out Iron Heart's OD jeans to get a sense of what you might do and share on here what you end up doing.

Firstly, if this has already been covered somewhere in the forum, please accept my apologies. I am still trying to learn and navigate my way around, so please be patient.
I recently acquired the Western Hickory shirt. I’m just looking for some general feedback on care. I don’t plan to wash in a rush and will only wear it over a T Shirt, but my enquiry was about shrinkage, fade etc. The inside shirt instruction advised cold wash. If anyone has one that they have put a few miles on, and/or has some experience on washing etc, I’d really appreciate your feedback/advise. I’m on a big learning curb and just trying to dodge making silly or expensive mistakes. Thanks in advance for your advice.

@oldsoulguy56 Good choice with the Hickory, an absolute classic!

Whilst washing cold is probably optimal for minimal shrinkage, I'm a firm believer that 30/40 degree wash/spin will rarely cause issues with a prewashed shirt (with some exceptions, certain fabrics are prone to marbling).

I haven't babied my Hickory in the 18 or so months that I've owned it, two or three 30 degree washes (inside out to preserve colour, as I do with all my IH garments) and it's aged absolutely beautifully.

It'll shrink a tiny bit on the first wash, and tighten up after subsequent ones, but will genuinely get better and more unique to you each time.

What's your current fit like? If you have a little wiggle room and it's not skin tight I wouldn't personally worry about washing cold. It's easy to overthink these things but you mustn't forgot to just relax and enjoy these beautiful shirts for what they are.

This particular shirt has more wiggle room than I have experienced with other similar shirts (Wabash and Heavy Flannel) so a bit of shrinkage isn’t going to be an issue. For now I will just enjoy it then give it a wash as needed. As you say it’s easy to get paranoid and over think these things. Thanks again for you help, really appreciated 🙌
