Ready for my first Indigo Invitatioal with these 633! I had some extra denim from getting them hemmed, so I made a little DIY phone case with the extra denim. I’m no expert by any means, so hopefully it stays together. I’ll be using it once the competition starts. I think the phone case will get a bit more wear and tear, so it’ll be nice to see how it fades compared to the jeans.
888S-21ib - 888XHSib - 888SBG
Made it out to the LA shop about 10 minutes after opening. I had my eyes on the prize and was able to snag both items that I wanted; Indigo CPO and Indigo 633. The OD CPO looked and felt amazing, and it was hard to resist the temptation. Fortunately, they ran out of my size.
I figured some of you would like to see some shots of the CPO, so I took some quick photos. The 633 are getting hemmed, so I’ll take photos of those when I get them back.
Got to meet and chat with @Giles, @Alex, @kiya, and Demitra. Picked up some free goodies. Drank some drinks. Overall, I had a great time at the party.

Sixth monthly check in for these SEXIH25-633. Half way! Based on my past experiences, I find that the jeans really start to shine at the six months mark. Overall, the jeans have really started to lighten up. I’ll be giving them a nice soak and machine wash today, and I’ll post some post-wash photos. Six months down! Six more to go.
Just posting an quick update here. I’ve had this for about 2.5 years. I wore it pretty heavily during the first year, but not nearly as often as I wore my jeans. I’ve always been a fan of the texture. After washing it in the washer for the first time recently, the slubbiness has definitely popped a bit more.
Been wearing this Tom Western a lot recently. Love the character that’s developing throughout the shacket. It definitely still has some sheen and squeakiness to it.
Fifth monthly check in for these SEXIH25-633. The texture is really starting to shine through all around, but very clearly on the thighs. I did some pre-spring spring cleaning around the house with my kids and their toys. So lots of bending down, crawling around, and playing the usual. As you can see, the knees are definitely getting some wear and tear. Fortunately, there haven’t been any tears. I’ll continue to monitor it though. The plan is to give these a nice machine wash at the six month mark. Five months down! Seven more to go.

These have been worn for one year straight with just the initial soak; no washes. Typically at this point, I’d just give them a soak with a mild hand wash. I decided to try something new and threw them in the washer on no spin cold wash, after an hour-long soak.
The lighting isn’t ideal, so I’ll try to take some more pictures in natural lighting. I’ll be sending these off to IH for some repairs. In the meantime, I’ll be switching gears to the 888-SBG
I’d say this is great news for anyone that’s looking to get the CPO with this denim. Pure speculation on my behalf though.
@jglatz I also like my waist measurement at 31.5”. That being the case, I went with a size 31 for both my 888S-21ib and 888-XHSib. They were both closest to the 31.5” measurement that I prefer. The waist does stretch out over time, but I wear a belt to minimize stretching in the waist (less tension, less stretch). Once washed, it will shrink back a little, but it will also stretch back out quite quickly. It was just a little uncomfortable at first. That’s due more so to it being so rigid/stiff at first, but it was comfortable once broken in. Mine were broken in within about 3-5 wears.
I sized for my preferred waist measurement from the get-go. I didn’t size down and try to calculate where it “should” stretch out to after some wear. I also didn’t size up in hopes of shrinking it down with a hot wash.

@Blanco thanks! OD takes a bit more time to fade, but they do eventually fade. Stick with it! You won’t be disappointed.
