@Tago-Mago I saw Slayer at Finsbury Park just after the last Sabbath gig at Villa Park. They were great, but I would love to see them with Dave. As per the poster, Slayer continue to play - despite their last tour a few years ago.
I have tix for Metallica for July and Gojira (along with Pantera) are one of the day's supports. Looking forward to it and bonus that I can walk home from the stadium.

@Bridger Slayer and Pantera are essentially tribute acts to me at this point. I am not a fan of Anselmo either, which has nothing to do with the music and shall not be expanded upon here.
I saw Gojira on tour for their two latest records and they are crushing live. Art of dying live is absolutely incredible. Metallica were my entry point into heavy metal and I still love them but objectively I would expect Gojira to blow them away live

@Tago-Mago I agree with your comment re Pantera.
Personally, I consider Gojira the best metal band on earth at the moment. I have seen them a bunch since Magma and as you say, they put on an intense live show.
They headlined Bloodstock in 2018 and cemented their importance for me. Decapitated were also on the bill and they're another tech death metal act not to be fucked with.
