Random Rants

My freaking neighbors have a horrible history with dogs. They always get Dobermans. Not a knock on the breed, but on my neighbors…their dogs have been the worst over the years. ALWAYS barking aggressively attacking the fence line when I’m in the yard working or trying to relax. One attacked a dog at the park several years back permanently crippling it. I went to their house a few years ago to talk to them about the incessant barking. The problem got 25% better, then finally stopped about a year ago. Guess the dog died.
Well, about a month ago here comes the barking again. Another Doberman. This time the barking starts at 6 am and goes ALL day long. Our bedroom is very close to the fence line and it’s loud as hell!! However this dog doesn’t seem aggressive but frantically barking and crying to be let in the house or whatever. Sounds like it’s having a panic attack. All frekking day from the wee hours of the morning…weekdays and week ends right into the start of my vacation.
Yesterday I walked over there again to talk to the old man about his barking dog. He tells me some BS about needing to live in the country if I want it to be quiet all the time and that Dobermans are designed to bark. He does agree to try and keep the dog quiet.
Well…since 6:45 this morning the poor dog is freaking out barking again as I type this out. I’m not the type to call the police over things that a neighborly conversation should remedy. But I’m losing my patience.

I have nothing to rant about or to contribute... but it's wet here today, and I'm waiting on jeans drying.
That is all... -
@Mizmazzle I understand you so well! Something similar is happening here. One idiot owner keeps the entire chicken coop in fear. And everyone is "guilty" except him. Both the chickens and the dogs. And most importantly, this so-called "owner" does not understand human words at all! And I'll tell you, call the police. Such assholes only understand the language of force.

@Walery-Smirnoff thanks for empathizing. It’s super frustrating. I think my neighbors mindset is he wants a fierce guard dog to protect the property. But in actuality he’s got the equivalent to a car alarm that won’t stop going off. What I don’t understand is how it’s not bothering him in the least that his dog is barking, literally, nonstop. Hell, he keeps his windows open too!! If my dog barks more than 2-3 times I'm out there checking on him.

@Mizmazzle Common sense isn’t so common anymore.

@Denman-John “uncommon” sense…

So I got a great opportunity starting Monday. But I have to dress... So lame. It's crazy that it even matters to me. Up until about 5 years ago, never paid any attention to my clothes unless I was trying to look silly. Now I've gotten used to looking nice and here's a plain brown uniform for me.... I liked my old job. Average pay, average hours and a dress code that Iron Heart shredded.
