So I got a great opportunity starting Monday. But I have to dress... So lame. It's crazy that it even matters to me. Up until about 5 years ago, never paid any attention to my clothes unless I was trying to look silly. Now I've gotten used to looking nice and here's a plain brown uniform for me.... I liked my old job. Average pay, average hours and a dress code that Iron Heart shredded.

@CosmoSix5 Not a crazy idea at all.... change is always uncomfortable at first but my guess is you'll experience some upside to a uniform soon and appreciate your IH in a new way.

My job is business casual and we are encouraged to lean "more conservative". I just randomly started rocking jeans and so far nobody seems to care. I'm still waiting for a "policies and standards" email. I get wanting employees looking clean and put together, but I can't believe people still care if you're wearing nice jeans instead of khakis.

@Mizmazzle In Texas mutual combat is legal. Two adults can consent to a fist fight and neither gets in trouble as long as there is no serious injury. Then again, sometimes the only solution is a swift kick to the ultra heavies.
