I got an XL and feel fortunate as they sold out instantly - one of the quickest selling IH releases I can remember. His size chart seemed larger than normal for an XL so I'm hoping he just measured a bigger one. I think I'm SOL for the button because in the video he posted the guy pulled an XL and managed to get the silver.
The size chart on XL did seem a bit larger (in the chest,) but the shoulders are much smaller than what an XL typically has. Kind of weird sizing IMO.
I know he hasn’t spilled the beans yet but this shirt has to be a 12oz’er no?
The real question is how does the armpit fit? lol, has anyone from the shop tried on a size that fits them (measurement wise,) but noticed the pits were too snug?
@Denimhead-0 I dig that hoodie so much and I know with a crazy amount of wear it’ll produce some nice fading but I can’t justify the price considering I could only wear it a couple months out of the year.
@1WayTrip them tee’s are sick but I’d die in Florida wearing them for sure.
After playing around with the cuffs a bit I realized I really dug the look of a clean break. Ima be sending these to guilty party more than likely to get them hemmed to a 30” inseam to achieve this look. Kinda bummed I don’t have any local places in Florida I can hem these at, with shipping both ways and fees I’m looking at close to $60 for a hem…. Sheesh

@warriors22 eh dialed in enough. The hot soak and hot wash improved them a bit but nothing too crazy. I linked a video of the before and after, scroll up a bit if you wanna see it. From reading others experiences with this specific model, they advised they typically sized down one size for a TTS fit (which surprised me cause the size chart didn’t suggest a 33 having TTS measurements for me,) so me sizing up to a 35 (when I typically wear 34,) was essentially sizing up 2 sizes.. not 1 like I intended. They don’t look bad but I’m not accustomed to so much extra fabric. We’ll see how I feel when I pick them up after IIY5.
Edit: Also, I heard samurai’s 25oz is magical. Enjoy bro!

Gave these a cold and hot soak to try to get all the shrinkage out of them. First thought love the fit n fabric! They do feel a little less hefty compared to my xhsib. Love the details throughout the jeans as well
These are 25oz?
If anyone’s interested in the video I made of these, check out the link(s)

Post hot soak/hot wash photos. Measurements didn’t change ALL that much but I feel like they changed just enough.
Waist: 17.75” → 17.25”
Thigh: 15.25” → Same
Inseam: 32” → R/31.75” L/31.5”
Rise: 13.5” → 13.25”
Back rise: 18.5” → 18.25”
Hem: 11.375” → 11.25”
Crazy amount of leg twist has taken place though. Not opposed to it, but definitely not something I’ve experienced with my IH journey (I never had their 16oz slub which I know is known for gnarly leg twist.)

@AskAxel there are a few stockist that still have them dude! Franklin and Poe being one of them & iron shop provisions recently told me they will have them soon. I heard samurai’s 25oz is awesome so I hope they work out for ya dude!
I thank you guys for the feedback. I’ve been on the fence about these so your words are appreciated.
@sabergirl / I feel ya 100%. I myself have thicker thighs and a decent bottom so I could really only swing the 888 cut comfortably going TTS. If you have that problem with your other pairs, this one should definitely work. Just keep in mind the rise on these bad boys is HIGH. & the thigh measurement is definitely accurate. I think these would fit much better if I went TTS instead of sizing up honestly… so the bagginess you see here may just be a little dramatic.
@pechelman yeah dude this rise is high indeed but I think I dig the higher rise. I hot soaked & hot washed them today, so I’m hoping when they’re 100% dry tomorrow, they fit a bit more snug. They’re unsanf and one washed though so I’m not expecting a dramatic change. After this and some wear though, I’m sure that drape would look way more appealing.
I’m just super surprised to be able to kick high in the air with denim on lol, the comfort here really is unmatched.
Samurai S310XX19OZ.
I got these for a pretty great deal from Okayama denim. I typically wear a 34 but got a 35 due to availability. I also liked the idea of extra space in the waistband for other reasons too.
I’ve never been a wide fit kind of guy, I typically shoot for a straighter fit. More around the 9-9.5” hem, these are well over 11”.
I wanted to try something different since I’ve been wearing 888’s for the last 500+ days straight and I’ve always hated how restricted I felt in them. In these, there is no restriction. I’m moving in them like I move in shorts.. it’s awesome.
But when it comes to the fit, I feel as if they look too big on me. Today I’ll be hot soaking and washing them to see if I can get any sort of shrinkage.
Update: I will be finishing the IIY5 competition in my 888XHS still. These will be worn after the competition assuming they work out for me.

Does anyone here have any experience with samurai’s new wide straight S310 cut?
While I’m here in this thread, I guess I’ll drop a pic of the Birks I’ve been wearing the last few years. This is the “full leather wrapped” version.

If I’m being honest, they don’t break in as great as Birkenstock’s traditional soft suede footbed lining. I just wanted a blacked out pair.
