      looks great. Maybe one suggestion?
From the selvage to the right, have those pockets angle downwards a little so that they arent full height at the end. Helps to be able to put shorter tools in without them becoming buried or fully obscured by the pocket itself.

Also, is that tie strap sewn to the roll itself somewhere?

This is fantastic. Did you consider sewing in a piece of fabric to effectively have the pocket bags seen sewn into the hem to make an inside pocket?

    • RE: Photograph and Camera talk

for a small post card size print, a cell phone might scratch the itch enough for its convenience with the other 99% of the time to share the photos immediately with it being an internet connected device that also has embedded AI and editing capabilities.

Still, if you want a "real camera" and if you aren't really thinking about post processing images out of a camera to be part of your workflow, then I would be sure to steer you toward a camera that has good simulations embedded in it like from Fuji. Most cameras will produce a flat looking image that's very malleable to post processing but will look pretty meh if you use it straight out of camera.

also like the fuji series, but what's your intended use beyond the subject matter? Are you sharing with friends/family on the internet or printing large? Honestly, sometimes a phone camera works just perfect for this, I often augment my shooting with a "real camera" with my phone if I don't have the lens on I'd prefer or dont want to take out the camera (raining, small space, be conspicuous, etc).

But i understand totally if you want a camera experience. Beyond the fuij, you could consider something like a leica q or ricoh gr series.

I think the issue in this case is a materials one. The fracture surface looks pretty brittle and this is likely from a casting process which can have porosity that will be great places for a crack to start.

My opinion is that this might be a reasonable place to use a piece of stainless steel or something a little more durable.

Regardless, I'm not worried of this getting fixed. I am a little disappointed but I know they'll make it right. Mostly this was a PSA for anyone with clips like this.

For anyone who has stuff they don't use anymore, they're offering 2X the trade in value through the 16th. Dropped off a handful of old things and walked out with a really well loaded gift card.

I clipped it on my belt loop, started walking as normal, grabbed my keys to tuck into my rear pocket as normal, and felt something weird. I stopped immediately when I realized my keys weren't attached to my belt loop anymore. Thankfully I found that hex thing only a few steps behind me on the sidewalk.

I'm very gentle with this overall only using it to hold keys. Most of the time it's only holding the weight of the clip.

Already sent Sunme a note but I'm not expecting a reply today. Hopefully it won't take too long to turn around. Had to send something else back for warranty that kinda took forever.

Well, this is kinda lame. Had it less than 3mo. I know they'll take care of it, but still this shouldn't happen. And consider this a PSA for anyone with this clip. Almost lost the little hex piece as I started to walk out the door.

If you're headed to IH in Osaka, y2 isn't that much further. You need a reservation though.

      Thanks!
That curb looks to be bigger than the 4A's of today which I thought were generally thinner than the ball chains.

@scooter would be interested to hear how you get on with this vest's sizing and such compared to your normal preferred IH things.

The other option to a shoelace is to buy 10' of ball chain and connectors. Chop it to the lengths you want and give it a try. It's much more representative than fabric with how it lays and drapes.

This may be a me thing, but one reason I love the curb chain clasp is to secure a pendant in one place. It never slides or jangles no matter what.

@Giles I bet if you had a physical store nearby they might offer you a brand new jacket, but that offer seems more than generous to me.

it's common advice to refresh DWR, specifically to use a tech wash solution and to do a low tumble dry.
