Nothing is really essential, but their most recognizable motif is probably the rosette. So really anything with that I guess? The model 10, frida ring, or club rings are pretty popular that have this.

Though on the flip side the model 22 size A, pequeno chains, belt loop buddy, clips, nixon rings, etc are all great. Ultimately, just get whatever you like and don't worry about anything else.

Mine from a couple batches ago shrunk an inch in the lengths just by soaking without any agitation. Water was room temp.

I think so from what I'm reading unfortunately. Thankfully they have a very easy return policy. Might be worth buying in person tho if you have any doubts since it's really hard to tell by the photos online

I don't know how you're able to do that in Florida @worn2fade.
Looks like you've got a second long sleeve collared shirt under the double denim?!!

How long ago did you get them @Oaktavia ?

Reddit is saying this happened within the last 9 or so months.

Apparently Converse/Nike have updated the chuck 70s to remove almost all the upgrades over the all stars; rubber outsole and reinforced lining around the heel and outer foot. Also the mid sole seems to be a bit different color than my other pair. I was on the fence to just return both but I did finally decide to keep a pair given the discount. I would have returned these at the full price. Guess these changes were made for tariff protection?

Either way, as promised, here's a pic of them with some 18oz vintage 634s.

Lastly, I've got one 30$ off 100$ code to give to anyone who needs it good for September. The only condition I have is that you have to post what you got here in the thread.

Yes I knew why it exists, but Chuck 70s used to have full rubber outsoles, which is one reason they cost more.

Got the denim chuck 70s today, they definitely fit different than the plain Jane canvas variety and have a couple different notable features. These have a good bit more volume above the toes which is fantastic. I always have to wear the thinnest socks with my og black canvass. Also there's a rubber side patch on side sole of the denim ones whereas it's just a stitched canvas piece on the of. Lastly, while going with the same size would have worked just fine, I ended up ordering a size up just to try and ended up deciding to keep those. The rubber side patch ended up having a weird pressure point, that I think would have broken in just fine, but the half size up felt really comfy and fit secure. There's enough toe box room on these I'm considering a nice pair of insoles for more support.

Lastly, one negative imo, these do not have the all rubber bottom tread of the ct70 but instead have the soles with a high percentage of felt in them. Not sure how these will wear or grip but a little disappointed in that. Will share some pictures tomorrow.

    • RE: TV

i think one reason that made breaking bad so good was it has elements of slow-burn, with lots of character development to where the protagonist effectively becomes the antagonist but also because each episode can generally be taken as its own standalone episode. Some arcs do take time to wrap up, but each episode, iirc, generally has some self-contained storyline.

Even that first episode, it starts out with a pretty big exciting intro and then walks it back on how things go there. It tells a good story in its own right but sets everything up to go on from there. Also that first episode has probably my favorite Jessie line from the whole series, not withstanding the "YO!!!" and "BITCHES" he uses throughout.

Better call saul and Ozark are another couple of ones I'd throw into this list.

@Alex said in Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?:

but t-shirts are not one of our strengths

really? I love the 7.5oz'ers and I think many others do.

If I had any complaint, there's a kinda surprising amount of variation in body width for something i would have thought would be very repeatable on a machine that knits a tube. Probably my ignorance about this process.

What sort of things are you thinking could be improved? Maybe this is more of a random question related thread topic?

It's such an amazing show room and the personal attention and service is amazing. If you show up early, there's an amazing little cafe just around corner I'd recommend called cathay. Amazing coffee and homemade pudding. Have a great time @SourPower !

    • RE: IHSH-189-BLK - 21oz Selvedge Denim CPO Work Shirt - "The UnTucked" - Superblack Non-Fade

After my ocd cleaning of the 37, it got ultra crunchy, but after a couple weeks got really soft and pliable. It still has a bit more coarse/sharp hand feel compared to indigo 21oz but it feels very similar in drape and overall flexibility. My guess is that a shirt/jeans will be broken in normally with hard wear and a couple of washes but really I think someone with jeans will be able to give better insight.

It'll definitely turn brown with sun tho. Checkout the vest thread from Oaktavia's roof experiment.

@worn2fade this looks just about right to me. How's it feel besides the length?

There's probably a little more length to come up as mizmazzle notes. A washer could help but really it's the combination of agitation and slippery soap which helps the tensions in the lefty fabric pull itself back. You could try another hot soak and add some detergent or Dr bronners and do more agitation followed by another clean water rinse, but a machine will do the same.
