It seemed to be reasonable for the UHF being made in only either Western or Work so it seemed a logical next step. I'll shut up now.

@AdamJ of course that is the issue. Throughout posts it's clear IH can't and won't please everyone, and surely this is a strategy you've all considered, but it does seem strange to me that even with the current state of things there are new cuts and denims being added which would seem to only make the existing problem worse and not better.

There might be a middle ground where you can make all the cuts but you dedicate specific fabrics to them each year? All my point is that making everything in everything really isn't doing any favors.

What if you made fewer things so you could make more of those items that are in the core of what you want? Eg only make 634 and 888s, or whatever makes sense, then devote all of the 21/25 oz fabric to those two not needing to also supply for all the other cuts.

I've not tried them, and I don't think they come in a 2 pack, but they do offer qty discounts, is American giant. I still have a hoodie from them that's pretty nice.

True to Size (TTS)....what the hell does this mean or what are people meaning when they refer to this? It's never made any sense to me.

I can see things being TTS in the fact that a size 9 show is smaller than a size 12 or that a size M is smaller than a 4XL, and perhaps even to say that they're smaller proportionally speaking for that brand's sizing as being "true to size", but beyond that it just breaks down for me.

Maybe this belongs in the rant section because it feels like a mostly useless phrase that's an inherently subjective term that lacks any objective standardization.

actually it's basically the whole 777N thread. Includes picture comparisons and everything. Happens all in the first ~60posts or so. Pretty sure this is what i was thinking about.

@goosehd i dont think that was it. There were a few posts with very detailed prose that also included comparisons to 21oz.

I think it was a description from a few folks. Maybe neph had a few posts. Regardless, I don't need it, this was in reply to wjw if he wanted to go find it. I know it's out there because at one point I was considering 17N vs 18 and stumbled on it.

They just posted a few things on Instagram making some. Hopefully not that much longer now.

IH website measurements and IH crew confirmed measurements on an actual garment. This was a few years ago and not really a big deal, just sharing that if I personally were to need another IH Waffle thermal, I'd really not worry at all about the width b/c of how stretchy they are.

these waffle thermals are about the only thing I've found to work better by NOT trusting the measurements too closely. I did and ordered and XL in one color, after a little discussion with the IH Crew, and L's in 2 others. The XL fits a size larger (surprise) despite having nearly the same measurements at the time.

that looks pretty nice but i dont think it really fits into our schedule. I might however steal some of their recommended accommodations though if there's one near where we want to go. Thanks, @mclaincausey !

Looking to spend a couple of weeks around the Island this fall. We have a general itinerary planned; Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Kurokawa, Mt Aso, Kagoshima, and Yakushima, but open to anything. Any cool shops to check out?

@Ross so the warp is 65/35 indigo and the weft is a light grey 100% linen?

I forget which 17n cut thread has it, bit there was a good comparison between it and a few other denims. It might have been in the 777 thread but I honestly can't remember. Maybe one of the mods or crew knows where it is?
