This thread reminds me of the scene in Malcolm in the middle where Hal had to change a lightbulb. With looking for the clip if you haven't seen it.

RE: Random questions to which you seek an answerposted in The Resource Centre
@WhiskeySandwich i think it's all relative. More comfortable in terms of very high and tight armholes which even people on here have complained about. Relatively speaking, the lower the arm hole the more people it will fit and the less restricting it will be for anyone with large arms. The side effect here for flexibility of fitting a more diverse set of body types and sizes is that it has a compromise on how it wears when moving. I think I know what you're saying about downward angled arms where it attaches at the body, but i think that's a result also of having a lower arm hole. I'm far from an expert on this though, so I'll let someone else chime in.
But i hear you on this being a rant of sorts. I don't like this either which is why I like the IH shirt cut so much. I struggled with this for so many years not really understanding why this happened until I got a shirt cut with higher arm holes.

High arm holes. Less tailored items with lower arm holes fit more people more comfortably so that's what big brands do. Imagine if the arm holes were sewn down to the hem and you have an example of why the higher the better in regards to how raising arms will pickup the body.

RE: Samurai Jeansposted in Other Brands and Shops
@worn2fade I think they look good on you. I tried a pair of these on recently too and they looked about the same on me but I think I tried the tag size down from my usual with them. Overall I liked the legs but found them too high rise for me. I think after you wear them a bit that fabric will start to drape more nicely and look less wide.

Are you soaking before washing to make sure they're fully wetted out before going into the wash and running an extra rinse on them? I've found these thicker/ heavier fabrics need a bit more water and time compared to more regular stuff.

I've got a generally simple rotation plan. I pick a pair I want to wear and generally commit to only wearing those for at least a month or until they need to be washed. I'll select the pair based on the season, so right now I'm in 16oz slubs. If I'm going to do lots of yardwork or something dirty, I might switch to a beater pair, especially if I just put on a fresh pair. Generally I can't wear pants more than 2mo before I start to feel gross, so that starts the rotation again. This way feels pretty reasonable for how many pairs I have and still feels like I can make progress and actually see a difference.
I definitely have some pair though that I need to sell as I've started to prefer different things though, so that helps keep the number to rotate through a bit smaller.
Edit, I'll also add I dislike rotating pairs regularly during the week because I hate having to swap out my belt, knife, and anything else small in my pockets.

RE: IHSH-409-IB - 19oz Selvedge Denim CPO Shirt - Indigo/Blackposted in Shirting
The 409 feels much more hard faced and tough as nails feeling. In the same size it fits me much more trim and tailored. The blue is more unique on it I think, oaktavia has waxed poetic about it here iirc.
The trico has a softer hand feel, almost like a thick felt. It drapes and moves more easily and the cut is a bit longer and more relaxed. I think the 409 as a garment probably weighs more but the fabric on this feels like it's heavier in some respects.
They're both pretty amazing shirts, just depends what you want. I probably wear the trico just a bit more mostly because it's a bit more unique in my closet with its styling, I.e it's not a Western shirt

Also, I just gotta say, swipe to type really has trouble figuring out that I'm typing bandana and not banana somehow.

RE: IHG-TIGER-IND - Iron Heart Germany “TIGER” Print Bandana - Indigoposted in Cut & Sewn
To join the discussion, my first bandana was the standard ih one in indigo. I was worried about crocking but it never happened @RoxRocks86. So if this is similar, I wouldn't worry.
For bandana uses , I found great use of it right after I got that original one by bringing it to a trip with no real reason other than as padding in a camera case. The trip ended up being brutally hot so it was used to not be disgusting dripping sweat on public transportation. Also, the bathrooms there generally didn't have paper towels to dry hands so that also got use for that purpose. Since then, three years later, I've had a bandana permanently tied to the outside of my ihe37 that I use everyday for the same purposes above and as others mentioned, but I don't blow my nose in it.

I'm a big fan of curating photos to print like this. Always feels much more tangible and real compared to a screen and I find also sharpens the overall craft. Specifically like how careful you were at having your colors match on opposing pages.

RE: Question about buy/sell forumposted in General Chat
I'm not against or for either option really, but I will offer two real use cases for a locked or archived thread.
I've caught scammers before by finding someone else's ad with the same pictures and everything in their post. I was able to see who sold and bought, did a little asking on the side, and found out that it was a scam.
Some forums require listing the price it sold for to help others price their items in the future. I think this is a little less value here with most clothing bc it's a pretty know retail price and established used market with relatively low variety. The other from I'm thinking of was for camera gear so you can imagine the wide range of things to price.

RE: IHG-TIGER-IND - Iron Heart Germany “TIGER” Print Bandana - Indigoposted in Cut & Sewn
yea, absolutely. I'm not intending to this being a complaint against IHG, moreso intending that post to be an fyi with the actual values. The UPS fee is the one that surprised me the most being almost 2X the US calculated duty. It will be nice when the shipping is refunded as well.

RE: IHG-TIGER-IND - Iron Heart Germany “TIGER” Print Bandana - Indigoposted in Cut & Sewn
Anyone else get their UPS import fee email for import to the USA? Crazy how much UPS is throwing on top of this making it a $27 total to import. Also im seeing if you don't pay early, you may get hit with an additional ~12$ collection fee.
Mods, feel free to delete the above. I'm not intending this to be an issue for IHG at all, just a heads up for anyone in the USA considering ordering this on what to expect.

RE: F/W 2026 Top 3posted in Fall/Winter 2026 Collection
Seems like a lot of lighter weight fabrics targeted to fall and winter? Regardless, I've kinda been thinking I'd like a 12oz denim like the ihsh33 but as pants, so I'm pretty curious about the 750-ind and maybe the 754-blk. Otherwise, feel like nothing else is speaking too strongly to me other than maybe that green zip hoodie.
