Got my OD and it’s a perfect fit and a stunner. Compared to my Type III I got from last years release, it does feel stiffer, which could for sure be from the fact that it’s brand spanking new. But I do recall remarking to myself how damn soft the jacket was from the gate. I’m sure it’ll soften up, and I’m stoked.

@Oaktavia haha yeah I wasn’t going to throw too much shade on the guy, but I mean it’s not in mint condition, definitely been washed and dried and doesn’t have the cloud-like new brushed flannel feel on the inside, so it was an outrageous ask. But it’s obviously still a great shirt and to own a piece of IH history, worth $200.

Scored one off the Facebook IH Buy/Sell page last December. The guy initially posted it for $600, and I was tempted but just couldn’t justify it. Then someone commented saying he’d never get that price and a lot of people downvoted him and basically shamed him into lowering the price to below original retail value. Definitely not my style and I felt bad for the dude, but when he edited his post asking $200 I jumped on it! Size medium and just a touch smaller than i prefer as I usually go large in western, but hey I make it work for sure. Just wore it last night, in fact!

I agree the Amundsen is probably the coziest of the UES trifecta, and I went with a size 3 on it to mix it up and make it more of an overshirt, whereas my Tricotine and Heavy Indigo are size 2.

@hgering27 thank you so much, this is super helpful in more ways than one! Nice to see how they are aging as well. Did you ever treat them for the snow/water with anything, or just rocked them as they are?

@Brian good to know they stand the test of time! How much did your shrink after initial washing? On the product page they warn against .4-.8” depending on where, but curious to know how yours turned out? To be honest mine feel perfect as is and wouldn’t want too much more shrinkage, which I’m hopeful can be avoided by cold wash and line dry with some gentle pulling where I want to keep the sizing the same.

Stumbled across these long sleeves while on the hunt, and gave them a shot because my spidey senses were tingling, and boy was I right! Got these from Dant, and they feel unbelievably soft and the cuts are perfect. The Indigo seems to rival the PBJ Indigo longsleeve and for $70 less. The white one is as soft as a cloud. Apparently Dubble Works is an offshoot of Warehouse than only specializes in tees? And the Warehouse longsleeve in Sumi is killer too. Stoked. Shout out to Dant!

@Ross Hey Ross, thanks for the reply. Yeah I think it's mostly just cuz they're so crispy new and everything seems so pristine, and then there's this really distinct line/scratch going across there, but hoping that with wear that it just creases there, and just blends in. I don't think i'll be returning them, but appreciate the offer, and I think it's just time to start rockin' these thangs. Thanks again for all the help...as always, ya'll are the best.

My first order arrived and the vamps on the pair were a little too mismatched for my liking and so I exchanged them for a second pair. Vamps are way better matched, but these pair have very distinct lines/creases up by the toe box. From some research on here and Reddit, it seems somewhat common with these boots, but I think mine are extra pronounced especially on the left boot. On the right it’s just a visible line, however on the left boot it’s a distinct divot/scratch into the leather. I’m overall pleased with them, despite not having worn them yet so can’t speak to break in, but I’m just wondering if this is something I should be concerned about or treat immediately to avoid the leather cracking more.

Well I fell in line and just copped one from Buyee.. I’ve never gone through them before so I’m interested in seeing how the process unfolds. Seems like I paid the standard Japanese price, but we’ll see what sort of duties and fees get tacked on. Stoked either way!

@akohut haven’t run my sweatshirts yet, but I put my sweatpants through a cold wash then medium heat in the hopes to get a touch of shrinkage in the waist, and didn’t get much, but maybe <1” in the length. So overall, as it’s the same material, you probably won’t get much on medium heat. But that’s not to say if there was any stretching from wear, that it couldn’t bring it back in to its original specs..?
