NEW RICK OWENS MADE IN JAPAN COLLECTION

A new Rick Owens jean fit has arrived. The STROBE is Rick’s newest wide leg fit, available in two new fabrics. We have one made in Japan out of a 12oz selvedge black/black denim woven in Okayama on vintage Sakamoto looms and another made of a 13oz duck canvas woven.

Rick Owens’ famed GETH jean is back and exclusively made for Self Edge. It’s got a long rise, a super wide leg, and is made of a Rick Owens developed 16oz black/black Japanese selvedge denim which has a sulfur dyed warp and reactive dyed weft for maximum fading character. This was a instacop for many of our staff members across our six stores, the fit is just so fucking perfect.
Now at all stores as part of Rick’s new spring/summer collection.

This collection sees Devoa pushing textile development into new areas including hand-powered loom textiles, super heavy loopwheeled fabrics, Japanese kasuri-dyed Enshu cotton, hand-knit cashmere, and multi-colored twisted yarn fabrics. We have a wide range of new T-shirts, polos, pants, and beanies in stock. 3SIXTEEN ULTRAWEIGHT GARMENT-DYED HOODIES

3sixteen Ultraweight Garment-Dyed Hoodies have landed in two new colors.

This is a reworked hoodie style by 3sixteen made of a super heavy 32oz french terry which has been garment dyed; available in black and “kombu” green. These hoodies have a more relaxed fit compared to the rest of their hoodie line-up and are available now at all stores.

#23 and #24 in our Graphic Series is a collaboration with Reginald Sylvester II. Reginald is a Brooklyn-based contemporary artist known for layered, process-driven mixed-media paintings that fuse abstraction with personal and cultural symbolism. These designs are minimal interpretations of two of Reginald’s most notable mixed-media works. These two tees are now at all six Self Edge stores.

POTEN JAPANESE MADE BASEBALL CAPS - SPRING COLLECTION

Poten’s new spring collection is here!

This season we see Poten doing their caps in a new vintage duck fabric in navy and white, a soft vintage nylon, and a “90’s denim” in black. These hats are crazy nice, nicer than any other straight ahead baseball cap we've ever seen.

The caps have zero exterior branding except for the stitches which you can see from the top of the crown from the interior branding tags being sewn into the center of the crown. The cap has a medium height crown and the brim has a medium length to it with 19 concentric stitches which feel and look pretty cool in person. If you're into baseball caps, you'll love what Poten is doing. ⠀

We've received a new delivery this week at all stores from Stevenson Overall.

We have the Encinitas jean, which is their best selling straight leg fit, in both unsanforized (but rinsed) indigo and black denim styles and the slim tapered Big Sur jean in a crispy indigo denim.
Their Dual-Comfort tank tops sold so well for us last year we had them produce a fresh batch for us; these are available again in olive and natural.

Lastly we've received their Tanguis cotton boxer briefs in four colors including a new navy version.

RIGARDS YEAR 2 - ARTISANAL HAND-MADE EYEWEAR

Our second season of Rigards eyewear has landed at all stores. We have three new frames, all fully hand-made and finished out of titanium.

Rigards is an independent eyewear line known for its artisanal approach and unconventional materials. Founded by Ti Kwa, the brand merges avant-garde aesthetics with traditional craftsmanship. Each pair of Rigards glasses is handmade, using uncommon materials like copper, horn, and wood. All Rigards eyewear is handmade in Hong Kong in their own studio, located in Sheung Wan. They are from what I know the only full fledged eyewear line in the world making their own frames in-house in a studio which only makes frames for them. Now at all stores.

BONCOURA 15TH ANNIVERSARY NATURAL INDIGO DENIM & WIDE LEG JEANS

BONCOURA NATURAL INDIGO DENIM ALERT

The BONCOURA 43XX WWⅡ Denim Natural Indigo Dye is a completely reimagined WWII model created to mark the brand’s 15th anniversary, reconstructed from the ground up rather than carried over from the 10th anniversary version. It uses 15oz BONCOURA Ikemen denim, woven on vintage shuttle looms and rope dyed exclusively with 100% natural indigo to achieve depth, vibrancy, and long-term aging character that only reveals itself through wear. Unlike skein-dyed natural indigo, BONCOURA committed to rope dyeing to preserve a white yarn core, allowing strong contrast and defined fades over time. The silhouette is slightly wider with a mid to high rise and straight leg.

Period-correct details include deliberately omitted coin pocket rivets, newly designed iron donut buttons, and intentionally irregular back pockets that reflect the realities of mass production during the era. Yellow cotton stitching, military herringbone pocket bags, and a specially tanned deerskin patch reinforce the historical foundation while remaining unmistakably BONCOURA.

We've also received a fresh production run of Boncoura's "34" wide leg jean, made of their famed 15oz Ikemen denim, produced exclusively for Self Edge. Both of these jeans can be found at all stores and online.

FLAT HEAD ZIMBABWE COTTON COVERALLS & INDIGO-DYED FLANNELS

Hard washed 12.5oz denim coverall jackets from Flat Head are now at all stores. This jacket is built from unsanforized (but rinsed) indigo selvedge denim woven on vintage Toyoda shuttle looms using long-staple Zimbabwe cotton. The left-hand twill weave gives the fabric a softer hand and smoother fade potential, while steel buttons and chainstitch construction reinforce its workwear roots. Finished with a hard wash for a broken-in feel and minimal shrinkage, this Made in Japan jacket balances durability with everyday wearability.

The Flat Head “THE TUSS” Indigo Rope-Dyed Block Check flannel is here. This is a special edition flannel from Flat Head's new Winter line, made of a heavy cotton flannel made of pure indigo rope-dyed yarns; the interior has been combed to a super soft feel. The fabric is woven on a vintage loom and therefore has a very three dimensional pattern due to the loom and also the extra heavy gauge of yarn.

We have also received fresh runs of in-house Stockburg produced shell cordovan small wallets in multiple styles and colors.

Each piece is handcrafted in sterling silver, reflecting the brand’s philosophy of individuality, modern minimalism, and wearable art. By challenging traditional ideas of symmetry and beauty, Olivier creates jewelry that feels raw, expressive, and uniquely personal.

NEW SUGAR CANE JEANS & BUZZ RICKSON CHAMBRAY SHIRTS

Sugar Cane’s first new in-line standard jean model in years is here. The 2025 model is drawing from waist overall patterns of the same era as the 1936 denim jacket (Type I), reworked with a widened leg from the thigh down for a true work-pant silhouette. The waist has been modernized by removing the suspender buttons and cinch back, while key pre-war details remain intact, including the crotch rivet and the orientation of the center-back felled seam. The jeans are cut from 13oz selvedge denim woven with slubby No.7 warp and No.7 weft yarns, spun using pre-modern techniques to create a highly irregular, textured fabric. Finished with predominantly orange contrast stitching throughout, the result closely mirrors the look, feel, and construction character of true pre-war workwear.

There is a new line we're launching on Tuesday which may interest you, but Kei won't be making any jewelry again.

NEW MISTER FREEDOM DENIM COLLECTION

Three new denim items have landed this week from the Mister Freedom x Sugar Cane line.

Mister Freedom released a jean nearly two decades ago which was so wild most people didn’t know what to make of it. It was a complete redesign of what we knew to be an indigo denim jean at the time, complete with the mixing of a right hand twill and left hand twill sugar cane fiber denim. We’re happy to say they’ve decided to bring the 7161 jean back, named after their street address on Beverly street in Los Angeles (and literally around the corner from SELA). The jean has some minor tweaks to the fit (a higher rise now) and is now made in Japan while the original was made in the US. Check our product page for the jean for a full spec list.

We also have a new 16oz dark navy "Midnight" denim, super crispy and saturated with indigo, available now as a a Lot 64 Californian 5-pocket jean and a denim jacket.

NEW ARRIVALS FROM FLAT HEAD

Three highly anticipated arrivals from Flat Head just hit our stores.

Natural indigo denim and ultrasuede puffer vests are here. These are made from 12.5oz Japanese selvedge denim with natural-indigo warp yarns, a nylon lining, poly fill insulation, and an Ultrasuede yoke for elevated texture and durability. Finished with original Flat Head buttons and made in Japan, it delivers a warm but lightweight layer with the brand’s signature attention to detail.

We also have received a small run of Flat Head Stockburg-Made Shinki Horsehide Single Rider’s jackets, and they looked fucking amazing. This jacket is crafted in Nagano, Japan in Flat Head's own leather workshop from 1.3mm vegetable-tanned Shinki horsehide with a semi-aniline finish that preserves the leather’s natural character while adding durability. It’s lined with red rayon kersey and finished with Flat Head–made hardware—including their original zipper and 100% steel buckles—along with all-Japanese trim. Sizes 38–44 feature a single back panel, while 46–49 use a split back panel, reflecting the brand’s commitment to precision construction.

Lastly, we have some Military Cargo Pants which are made in Japan from a 9oz shuttle-loom woven cotton twill, offering a crisp hand and long-term durability. Cut with a medium rise and a straight leg with a slight taper, original Flat Head buttons, a zipper-fly, and are rinsed for easier sizing.

HOLLYWOOD TRADING COMPANY BELTS & KEY FOBS

We’ve been carrying studded belts from Zip Stevenson’s Hollywood Trading Company for 15 years and they’ve truly become a staple in our wardrobes. We’ve just received a fresh production run of the original two studded designs, the three new designs we released last year, the two “skinny” belts which were recently released, and two key fobs. We can’t keep these things in stock and they take quite a while to produce as each belt is hand made by his in-house crew in Los Angeles.

Samurai just hit us with a the BLUE CALX indigo rope-dyed flannel and a beautiful natural indigo and kakishibu dyed zip hoodie for this winter season.

We've also received the first slim tapered jean in quite some time, the S0511XXII made of a 15oz Texas cotton fiber denim. Are slim tapered jeans coming back? Not for us to decide. We’re only bystanders—don’t blame us for the trends.

BUZZ RICKSON & WILLIAM GIBSON WINTER LINE

We have three new pants and the return of wool flannel CPO shirt this week from Buzz Rickson and William Gibson.

The William Gibson edition of Buzz Rickson's famed M-1951 Field Trousers are here, meaning we finally have a black version of these pants which we love so much. These pants are Buzz Rickson's homage to the US Army M1951 Field Trousers, expertly produced without a single missing detail. The fabric has a light slub texture to give it life, the hardware is all top notch Buzz Rickson Japanese made, and the fit is absolutely perfect. Although this is made of a cotton back satin fabric they are super durable as these were originally produced to be worn over your pants. This model has a relaxed fit with a wide leg for ultimate mobility.

The William Gibson collection from Buzz Rickson brings us a civilian trouser made of a pitch black heavy chino cloth. With the introduction of the M-43 field jacket, the U.S. Army also adopted matching trousers as part of the set. These trousers feature adjustable tabs at the waist, along with belt loops and a waist high coin pocket.

We also have the M-1951 available in an indigo denim for the first time, and the wool CPO flannel is also back in stock for the first time in a year.
