@Alex I was waiting for the 888 XHSiB and received the restock email after it already went live. For items like these that sell out immediately, the restock email is not useful as is. I think a better solution would be to alert people at least a week before and then another alert 24-48hrs before. I totally get IH wanting to get things out as quickly as possible, but if holding the release back a week means getting a better alert system in place, I'm sure everyone would be in favor of that.

@Alex I get the notification emails, however by the time I do the in demand items are all sold out or just about. I think a more useful alert would be sent at least a few days before it actually drops. For items I know are going to sell out right away I have to check the forum posts every morning.

@tdb85 I purchased both my indigo and sbg 21oz fitted, but comfortable and both pairs are too big for my liking. They stretch a lot. Fine out of the wash, but quickly stretch. I definitely should have gone a size down. Thighs stretch too. Not as much, but the do.

@Oaktavia high rise is the best. I wish IH would make a cut similar to the classic Levis 517 bootcut. It's all I used to wear for years. I think they might have had something like that a long time ago I saw, but I forgot the the model number. High rise all the way.

@tenuin are these on new runs of shirts or old ones? My IHSH-33OD from the last run does not have this pocket spacing issue.

@worn2fade I hear you on the length. That's one of the main reasons I bought another one and sized down. This jacket is very unforgiving in the length. I do really dig mine now though. I also have the LOD version and that hits me a little higher, right at the belt. I don't need another type iii, but if I did pick one up it would most certainly be an unmodified classic trucker.

How much does this one shrink after the first wash? I have the OD, but that one is pretty stable in terms of not shrinking I guess because of the OD.

@worn2fade I've had to buy and sell more than a few items to get a good fit. It's definitely trial and error. I'm not one of those that can fit any IH piece with ease, but when I do find something thats a fit it's worth the headache! Your jacket looks good on you though

@FlavourFade It almost doesn't shrink at all. Trust me. Get the jacket measurements that are closest to your normal ones in a pre-shrunk. I've done it with this jacket twice. The first time I ordered it I took measurements bigger than I should have. I also soaked and washed that one at 40c and there was very minimal shrinkage, 1 inch still in the body and sleeves, minimal in chest and shoulders. The second time I took measurements that were all within .1-.2 inches of what I where in a pre-shrunk model and it was perfect. Like I said it will shrink 1 inch in the body and sleeves, very, very minimal shrinkage everywhere else. That's if you soak and wash it at 30c or less. Don't take the advice that you need to boil the jacket in the hottest water possible with the hope it will shrink to the fit you want. Stick to your measurements, wash 30c or less and you'll be golden.

555 top block with 888 thighs would be my ideal cut I think.

@yannis that has been my experience with jeans, jackets and shirts so far. If it doesn't fit the way I want it from the jump it won't improve with wear and washing. I've already learned the hard way a few times. If I need to ask everyone on here if it's a good fit it's most likely not, but I still do it anyway . I've surrendered to the fact that this is the deal and it's always been worth the extra hassle when I get the fit I'm after.

Thanks for the replies all. Seems like you're all in camp @Mizmazzle . The waist stretching out is not as much of a concern as the top block front & seat stretching right back to what it is now. I'm certainly on the fence though.

Thanks for the advice all. @yannis is probably about right. Yeah most of what I'm reading says they'll be about the same as post soak/wash. Definitely not into how these are fitting in the top block and I do have room to size down to a smaller measurement for the waist, just not the thighs. I'll be selling these. Another one bites the dust.
