Freaking love the slub type 3. It's as comfortable as sashiko fabric with even better fading potential, and probably the best fitting piece I've had by Iron Heart overall.
@Denimhead-0 Same. The Nespresso machine fills it exactly to the top and it's like it was made for it. Sometimes I wish it was a little larger, and then I realize how extremely American I am.
Mine came today, and I love the material. First IH duck piece I've purchased. With that said, it's also the first IH piece that feels like it's below the IH quality I'm used to. The collar buttons are too close together, making the collar lopsided when buttoned, and the pockets aren't aligned. Unfortunately I purchased from Self Edge and based on what I've read about their customer service, I'm in for a time trying to get it swapped out. Fingers crossed!
@Giles is the man. Coolest, most direct question/answer thread I've seen in a while lol
We're all pretty much just fabric nerds, huh?
This is me wishing I could start the Indigo Invitational over again with these. I really want to grab them up before they sell out but it would kill me not to daily drive them for another 7 months. Never had indigo/black though, how does it fade timewise compared to standard Indigo? I have a 634S 21oz as my bridge pair and that's my only experience with IH pants (95% of my IH gear are tops)
Was about to buy this last week, and when I messaged Self Edge they said they had the dimensions for the old run listed and that they were about to update it to reflect the new run. I'm just realizing how short these are - does anyone have any photos that could help convince me this isn't going to look like a crop top? The old measurements looked perfect, I'm glad I double checked before ordering.
@Inorganic Thank you! And yes, the very same one. It became one of my best fitting shirts immediately, I was so surprised by that. Maybe the first one I wouldn't change at all, given the choice.
@NickD The jacket is actually a selvedge piece from RDD (Royal Denim Division), which appears to be a part of Jack & Jones. I haven't been able to find anything about it online, but it was a cool eBay find that turned out to be brand new. I didn't realize how glad I'd be to have a lightweight chore jacket, but it fills a spot in the wardrobe wonderfully.
@MisterEclectic I appreciate the kind words!
"I've always wondered what this day would feel like" is something I've thought several times today, wondering if there was anything specific I could capture to carry with me. Today marks 10 years since I put down heroin for the last time, and honestly today what I feel is the same gratitude I had at 1, 2, 3 years, etc. (For me) It turns out there's no magic number for happiness, it's simply remembering to be grateful, regardless of the day or the occasion.

This IHSH-07 Hickory Stripe is one of my absolute favorite pieces, and I am grateful that I was able to purchase it here on the forum. Sometimes a second chance can really bring a thing to life!
@Yoprst What are you taking these photos with? They look so good
This was filmed a couple weeks ago, but was just released today. I managed to sneak an Iron Heart mock twist into a podcast episode

I prefer buying direct from the IH site, but very much appreciate that occasionally there are retailers that may have something the IH site is sold out of. Also, I love having more than one place to look for things that may be on sale. I can't always afford my taste, but every now and then I get to buy and wear something I likely wouldn't have been able to buy at full price, so there is an interest for customers to see IH in more stores, not fewer. With that said, if pulling back on some retailers means you'll be able to avoid increasing prices for longer, or if it means you're going to be able to eventually open an IH store in the US eventually (to be clear, this is a hypothetical example, this would be amazing though), there is an equal or greater interest in that option for customers as well. I run a company with 95 employees, and I fully understand that these behind-the-scenes decisions aren't meant to hurt anyone or anything, and I make sure not to see it that way. I appreciate the transparency, and support you guys in a huge way for many reasons. I'll just say that everyone in my life knows about Iron Heart by now, and not always because they went looking for it
Thanks guys
@Gammaman These are some of the best looking boots I've ever seen. Beautiful.
Shout out to @Inorganic for a great piece I haven't had before! Arrived pretty quick, too. Thanks man
Ah missed it. Found a Small and a Large at a stockist, but Mediums are all gone. Being in the mountains with no service these past few days messed me up. Looks like I'll need to relieve my sadness by buying a sweatshirt instead.
These are awesome. Hope to see them released again. Would love the mustard color to come out too so I can have the matching set
@Oaktavia Thank you for writing the part about wearing it to bed. I did this with the Wabash and every single night my wife chuckled and said something about it. I can't wait to see her in a couple hours
Appreciate the response! They picked the right guy for the sample piece
@Oaktavia How do you feel about the length of the side seam area on the body? One thing I noticed about a couple of my work shirt variants in different styles is that the sides seem to come up just a bit higher than they should, and the way the waist flares out doesn't help. It looks like this one has a similar effect from the photos, although it's not totally clear.
I'm hoping for something like a work/western mix (the best of both worlds) from this one when it comes out: Slim in the waist (no flare like a women's cut) with longer sides like a western / no shoulder yokes and wider shoulders like a work shirt. Fingers crossed! This could be one of the coolest shirts ever, I just don't want to have to worry about it being too short & wide.
Besides my wishlist which is unlikely to be met, I have to say you are absolutely crushing this thing. No idea how you fade things the way you do, and in a relatively short time, but it looks like that piece is a part of your body at this point. Goals.
I'm down to give it a go as well for the US leg
(East Coast also, North Carolina)
@flannel-slut That's awesome, I feel even better about the purchase then! Thanks
