@dbj316 Ah

Thanks for letting me know -
RE: IHSH-437-IND - 13.5oz Dobby Cloth CPO Shirt - Indigoposted in Shirting
@dbj316 Yeah this shirt should have come with copper snaps from the start; it really looks so much better. Question - was the male side of the snaps on the shirt you upgraded left silver?

RE: IRON HEART WAYWT - 2026 EDITIONposted in What Are You Wearing Today (WAYWT)
@cyclops I may be doing some slight alterations on mine (depending on how the first wash/dry cycle goes), but I agree it's mostly what I needed. Sometimes we're just a bit in-between!

Adding another vote for orange. Sized up 1 in this release and it was a good decision. If the blue I snagged was one size larger I'd probably keep that one too, but I'm digging the orange more anyway, so no regrets! The fabric on these is excellent.

RE: IHSH-442-SAX - 9oz Selvedge Flannel Check Work Shirt - Sax Blueposted in Shirting
@CosmoSix5 Same here. The fit in the body is excellent (finally a shirt that doesn't flare out at the waist!!), but the sleeve length killed it for me. Was able to buy a size larger in the Orange, but not SAX blue, so I'll be making the same swap! Honestly, orange was first to catch my eye anyway, so I just hope it's not too big around the waist compared to shoulder & chest like most other IH shirts.
I wonder if this material shrank more than they expected? Seems unlike IH to come up short on sleeve length... It's one of the things they specifically tout for motorcycle wear, after all.

I found this to be an interesting comparison. Wife has yet to notice they are two different shirts lolThe sleeves on these are SHORT! That's not usually a measurement I pay much attention to, but I didn't realize it would be a whole 1.5" shorter than the FW25-26 UHF releases. Working on an exchange to see if the Orange one is longer like the size chart shows.

Man, this was a wild ride. I intentionally set a meeting for release time so I wouldn't be tempted, but of course I found both colors in the sizes I was considering 3 hours later and ended up getting this one. The funniest part is I was dead set on getting orange until I saw that group photo of the IH team and this one stood out more.

Happy to see the measurements taper down from chest to waist to opening on this one. For the longest, it seems like most of my IH shirts have had a wider opening than waist, but this one looks like it will sit just right around the hips without any sewing. Love it.

@VegaS10 Man, we talk about it all the time. Living 5 minutes from the beach has its perks, but between weather and the cost of living I feel the mountains calling my name! I'm actually surprised this year it hasn't been too bad yet. Even got to wear my 361 today. I'm stoked to see what the temp limit for these lighter flannels will be for me. Hopefully I can make it in time for either the blue or the orange - I'd be happy with either. Hopefully there's plenty of stock!

This is one of my favorite threads to follow regularly. Everyone giving this jacket the life it deserves. Amazing.

@GuyForget Whew talk about necro! Nice pull.
Good jacket too, man. That's a pretty amazing find! The reason I'm here though is for that shirt underneath! Is it the SDA 13oz Kakishibu? I've had my eye on that whole lineup (the 13 and 16oz pieces) for a while now. Love it. -
RE: UES Slub Flannel Size 2posted in Stuff for Sale
Bump bump bump, bump it up!
Also willing to trade, if someone happens to have a UES Slub that's a little large for them, and is in the size 2-3 range (around 21.4" - 21.9" chest). Not probable, but worth a shot!

@mecken88 This might be the best looking leather jacket I've ever seen. Perfect break in. Never really got into leather jackets much until last year, picked up a field jacket natural from MSC and even though I love it I'm looking for something more like this Y'2 beauty. Time to break out of an almost exclusively cotton wardrobe by this fall!

Everyone's favorite activity: yard work. Although I do despise the heat, it's nice to get out and be productive around the house again. It's 84⁰ all of a sudden. Time to acclimate!

Iron Heart Wabash up top
Pants are from one of Bronson's sister companies. A little lighter weight, much looser fit than my usual 634. My first wear with these and so far they are good in the heat! It helps that I got them for free due to an issue in their warehouse so I feel the need to really put them to use out of appreciation -

@FlavourFade Same! It's one of my top 5 for sure.

UES Slub Flannel Size 2posted in Stuff for Sale
UES Slub Flannel is lighter than the IH Slub flannel, and I got it for warmer spring months but it is just too small for me.
Looks new to me, but hard to tell with slub fabric for sure. I can't find any evidence of it being worn. No rolling at bottom hem or anything.
Colors are sort of a pinkish beige, white, green, and brown.Size Measurements (seems close to a size small in Iron Heart flannels):
Length (from bottom of collar): 26in.
Pit to pit: 20.25in.
Shoulder width: 17.25in. straight across, 17.6in. the IH way
Sleeve length: 24.8in.$110 Shipped to Cont. US
Usually use PayPal FF, no problem with G&S if you want to cover the extra few bucks.Any questions, etc feel free to message

RE: Short Guy CPO Hemmingposted in Cut & Sewn
Agree with @Giles and @Go-For-Chill on sewing being a skill anyone can likely pick up for simple alterations like this. I've put together an entire industrial sewing shop in my garage just keeping an eye out on Facebook marketplace for the past couple years. For all 4 machines (with tables) and even upgrading two of them to servo motors, I've invested a total of $500. While I spent $600, I've gained a life long skill and saved myself, my friends, and my family no less than $2k in alterations costs and I've been able to keep things I would otherwise need to return or resell. Just two nights ago I brought in one of my favorite Iron Heart sweatshirts (IHTB-12-GRY) to keep it from draping so much around the waist, and there's nothing more satisfying than putting on a garment that fits perfectly, knowing it's sized just for you, by you.
It's also opened up a whole other size of shirts I'm able to buy on the second hand market vs being limited to searching for specific dimensions.
10/10 recommend. -

@dugafola Anyone tried this with the Kakishibu Sashiko jacket? Unsure about how shrink might affect the sashiko stitching, but I wouldn't mind with bringing it up and in just a bit.
