"I've always wondered what this day would feel like" is something I've thought several times today, wondering if there was anything specific I could capture to carry with me. Today marks 10 years since I put down heroin for the last time, and honestly today what I feel is the same gratitude I had at 1, 2, 3 years, etc. (For me) It turns out there's no magic number for happiness, it's simply remembering to be grateful, regardless of the day or the occasion.

This IHSH-07 Hickory Stripe is one of my absolute favorite pieces, and I am grateful that I was able to purchase it here on the forum. Sometimes a second chance can really bring a thing to life!

The snow came, and brought a lot more than we expected. Doesn't snow here often (maybe once every 4-5 years), so we're pretty excited lol

Been thoroughly enjoying the colors on the new UHF. It's the perfect cool weather companion, much like my little friend here. The UHF will likely be a go-to for evening rides/walks for the next few months. Now I need to get a western cut. I wish so bad this blue was as slim as a western!

How I spent most of my day, waiting for the snow to come. Where I live we're lucky to get 1 snowfall per year, and even luckier if it accumulates at all. Here we are a few hours later with 6 inches; the most I've seen in 10 years since I moved here!

With all this hurricane weather coming in on the coast, it seems to be cooling off a bit these past couple of days. This is the first morning I've been able to sit on the front porch with the pup for more than 5 minutes without sweating through my clothes. Really looking forward to the fall & winter seasons.

Freaking love the slub type 3. It's as comfortable as sashiko fabric with even better fading potential, and probably the best fitting piece I've had by Iron Heart overall.

This IHSH-361 is still in its first few wears, and I'm loving how rigid this thing is. No idea how long it will take to soften, but I'm sure it will be a satisfying result. It will be nice when the shoulders don't rise up to my ears when I sit down anymore

The Indigo Invitational Battle Rag came in safely after some concerns about potential import issues to the US. Using the IHSH-361 as a mid layer and the SBG fabric is surprisingly not warm at all lol

Testing all the various ways to wear a UHF, and layering is fun with these. Crazy how warm this thing is, not a touch of cold walking the dog last night with just two layers.

Wife says "But you're going to look cuter than me at Thanksgiving this year" and I take that as quite a compliment! Although I'm obligated to disagree, I'm still proud of the recognition

Got my IIY5 pair on, and going into the second month. They are finally starting to feel comfortable. Not IH (Simple & Raw 23oz), but I always make an effort to rock an IH piece up top when I can! Got the IHSH-62-IND Wabash on today over my "office appropriate" button up shirt (Lululemon makes pretty comfortable dress shirt btw). Received 5 compliments on the Wabash within 15 minutes of arrival at work this morning, which is more than any other shirt I've worn to work. 3 people wanted to know what brand it was, and I was almost hesitant to tell them because I don't want them to see the price and assume my salary is much higher than theirs (it isn't). Running a non-profit, I try to be conscious of those types of impressions. Anyway, I'm still very happy with the Wabash and look forward to the day when it's well faded!

Guess this is technically a WAYWY (Yesterday) photo now, but I had a nice delivery from my favorite company (any guesses?) and was especially happy with this shirt and Rototo beanie, or "Roll up hat." I even referred a newly-bald friend to the IH site today and tried to convey that he'll understand the price once he gets it in his hands, after becoming convinced myself within about 60 seconds of opening the package. This is the best beanie I've ever worn, and this is the first tubular construction shirt I've ever liked. This day turned out better than I hoped, and I think I'll keep 4/5 of the items from this shipment. The 10oz micro fleece T Shirt might be a catch and release; haven't decided yet. Either way, this was a win for me! And thank you IH staff for the buttons!

I guess we never really outgrow taking selfies in a dirty mirror. Hanging out with my wife's 98 year old grandmother tonight while the family is out at a county dinner. Doing my good husband duty with the IHSH-33-T (stealth edition) and getting some IIY5 hours in with these 23oz jeans from Simple & Raw.
