@Tago-Mago tomorrow morning. It should go well, I think. The surgeon is optimist and talking about a fairly routine repair, with a quick recovery of two or three weeks max. Perfect timing! I have a four-week sailing and grilled fish trip planned in the Adriatic islands starting in three weeks.

Yes, paper. The kind of paper the operating room staff use. The kind that gets thrown away after a single use. It was just to rest my arm on the way back to Oslo. Three hours by car. I have a sling at home. Much better quality. I got it for free on a previous visit to the ER btw

On Saturday, my wife managed to catch a whitefish(Salmon family one) near our country house. With a fly! Not an easy feat. This fish has a very small mouth. She had a nice game of hide and seek. 900gr. Not bad. An hour earlier, a huge thunderstorm. An hour later, full sun, 25 degrees Celsius, not a breath of wind. Vulgata love parade everywhere.
Exceptionally, no catch and release this time.
After cleaning, it went straight into the freezer for future curing. Gravlaks. Delicatessen!

@endo Definitely not! Sometimes you need to get hurt to truly understand! I think it will all be fine soon enough after the operation. A pretty typical Norwegian outcome!

A weekend at the country house that started off well but ended in the local emergency room this sunday. I managed to tear my right biceps tendon. Sawed down a few trees for firewood for next winter. Lifted a log that was way too heavy and bang! All while dressed in style, of course!️
Surgery/repair scheduled for Friday. Fuck me!

It's not over yet. Wemby, the staff, and his guys are playing their first playoffs. They're already dominant but haven't quite managed to close out hard the series. It reminds me of the Pistons/Bulls Eastern Conference Finals series in the '90s. The Bulls dominated but couldn't quite finish the job. Maybe these Spurs need a few scars to soon establish a very possible dynasty. Rookie Dylan Harper's performances are fascinating and frustrating sometimes, but he is so young. When you see the development of these very young Spurs throughout this season...more than 100 games played. They're getting stronger and stronger, mentally & physically.

I and my daughter are really enjoying these playoffs! Yesterday night was something! Obviously, with Wemby and his teammates! It's fascinating to follow their season and this constant evolution with a coach who's also growing, with Popovich(the Jedi Master) not far behind. Beautiful story. Now the Knicks! It's impressive how Brunson and his guys switched gears midway through the series against the Hawks! Everything is in place for a truly great Finals!

Nice little hangover this morning... Never learned or understood to remember to drink water during happy hour... Today, a visit to a local producer who does a remarkable job. It's always a pleasure. Plants and vegetables. Biodynamic. So, gardening all weekend at home.I really enjoy it.
