@Giles seems 10 years is an appropriate span of time to maybe bring something back to life? There’s likely enough new comers that have never seen the 25oz double indigo that it would probably be received like a fresh material.. And then of course you have the diehard crowd that would be thrilled to get another shot at owning a pair or several.

@AdamJ I remember not having the funds to buy a pair when they first dropped and watching them sell out size by size.. it wasn’t until about 3 years later that I was able to find a brand new pair and I haven’t really seen any since then. It’s so weird that these didn’t do well in Thailand when they were released with Pronto but then became an absolute grail denim everywhere else..!?? Given the success of the XHSib it would seem there would be more conversation about doing another 25oz in an indigo x indigo.. Has there been?? Or is it a lost hope.. Can you imagine doing a limited run based on the 634 now that trends have shifted back to a wider leg? I have a feeling they would fly off the shelf..

@Oaktavia thanks mang! Craziest part is that it was two pair, back to back, both brand new. First, Kasi put a pair up for sale here in the forum in a tag 32 which I snapped up immediately but when they arrived I could tell without even trying them on that they were going to be way to small, they barely measured a size 30.. I was so bummed because I was certain I had just nabbed the last new pair of these in existence. Then not even two days later I was lurking on a Thailand buy / sell page and someone put up a WTB post for the PIH5DCT in some random size and in the comments another person said “I’ve got a brand new pair in a size 33 that I’ll never sell” I messaged him with an offer and they were in the mail the next day!! I put the newly purchased pair from Kasi up for sale and within a matter of hours they were snatched up by another IH junky who couldn’t believe he had found a pair, said he’d been searching for years, so I’m stoked they went to a good home! But man I swear Thailand has the secret stash, and from what I’ve experienced people are wiling to sell, you just gotta keep your eyes peeled and get ready to have several conversations that require careful translation including helping with setting up PayPal and walking through how to ship to the States.. BUT, it’s doable!! So I guess just keep digging and try not to lose hope OR maybe we could convince @Alex to be a hero and pull the fabric sample for a new limited run

They’re still out there.. Brand new, just waiting.. Even 10 years later..!! I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.. What a thrill. Now if I could just find a pair of PIH5DCS in this condition in a 33-34 I could finally put my quest to rest. I’ll just continue begging the cosmos and who knows.. They’ve delivered thus far. Just takes a little while

What are the size correlations on this piece: meaning is a medium still a 38 and a large still a 40 and so on?

This is heartbreaking. I can't count the number of conversations I had with him here on the forum. Such a thoughtful and passionate person. I hope he found his peace.

Looking at both the jacket and jeans i really appreciate the different orientation of the material at the pockets.. instead of the denim all facing the same direction you'll notice the pockets on the type II are at a 90 degree angle or "perpendicular" to the rest of the jacket.. same thing with the jeans and the front pockets.. excellent detail choice.

@twin thanks for l noticing! it sure does take longer for the indigo to start shifting if you keep this denim dry but i'm excited to see the outcome, If in fact i can manage to keep them dry long enough to find out..
